Foward from a good friend in north Georgia, originally from Montgomery, Alabama. I met him in 2001, in north Georgia:
Here is another example of how the media lies to us every day !!
DO YOU RECOGNIZE THIS GUY?
Do you know who this is? No idea? Well, it is little Trayvon Martin at 17 yrs of age.
That old adage applies here: “there are two sides to every story.” We don’t always get the truth from the media. The media all continues to show photos of 12 year old Trayvon; not 17 year old Trayvon.
They continue to show the 5 year old picture because it helps to cement in your mind the cute, little, hoodie-wearing youngster who was stalked by the monster, George Zimmerman.
In reality “little Trayvon” at the time of his death stood almost 6′ 2″ tall and weighed 175 muscular pounds. He has had numerous run-ins with authorities (both at school and with local police). Two days before his death, hehad been stopped and almost arrested for smacking a bus driver in the face because the driver refused to let him ride for free. He was released because the driver was told not to press charges by the bus company and to continue on his route.
When “little Trayvon” was suspended at school it was not only because he tried to bring a little marijuana in with him; he was in possession of wedding rings and other jewelry, watches, etc., that he said he “found” along with a large screwdriver while on the way to school that day. The jewelry was turned over to the police by the school.
Not a single paper has printed recent photos of this kid, because it would not keep your interest in this case.
Not a single paper will admit that this kid was a marijuana dealer.
His friends on Facebook all say he had the “best plants”.
Not a single paper will show you any of his recent photos where he shows off a mouthful of gold teeth and all of his tattoos.
President Obama looked at the FIVE year old photo the media chose to show the Nation and said, “If I had a son…he would look like Trayvon..” So from that comment should I assume you did not bother to look for the facts in this shooting, or should I assume you want a son who is a 17 year old drug dealing, gold toothed, tattooed thug whose name on one of his facebook profiles was “Wild Nigga” who “finds” jewelry and burglary tools on the way to school?
A fair and impartial news media in the USA ? One that does not follow the preconceived liberal agenda? One that is NOT looking to further divide this already fractured nation?
Guess again. Here is the photo we have all seen countless times.
Quite a contrastbetween the truth and the agenda of the liberal news media.
I replied to my amigo and all recipients:
I have seen this photo many times; it doesn’ t look like an 18 year-old man to me.
I took a nap, was trashed in dreams for not going into that further, and after coming out of the nap grog and beating, I wrote to my amigo and all recipients.
Back when it was all heated up, I was pressed to write 25-30 posts about the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case at www.goodmorningbirmingham.com, from the perspective of having once practiced law, from the perspective of a human being, and from the perspective of a mystic. There was lots of interaction with other people on it, who wrote to me, some kindly, others not. If interested, you can click on that link above, and then enter Trayvon Martin or George Zimmerman into the search space just under the photo of Birmingham, and press Enter on your keyboard. I just did that and scrolled all the post summaries and saw maybe 3-4 which were not on that general topic. You can get into each post by clicking on the link in the summary. I felt when I was writing into that case, sometimes daily, that it might end up being a book. It’s not done yet, of course; perhaps a new post will be up there later today, if I can find what I wrote back to a regular contributor last week re what he had sent to me about the veracity of the Special Prosecutor’s main “ear witness”, Trayvon’s girlfriend, perhaps being compromised. I remain of the view that whichever way the prosecution of George Zimmerman ends, there will be serious repercussions in America. I wish people would stop making jokes about this case and putting them online. It’s way beyond bad enough already.

Just in case you missed it today.

We will wait for the trial later in the year to see how it plays out.

Lawyer: State’s main witness in George Zimmerman murder case lied
SANFORD — Trayvon Martin‘s girlfriend, the state’s most important witness in the George Zimmerman murder case, was caught in a lie, it was revealed Tuesday.
It was not the first piece of misinformation tied to her, but it was the most damaging to date and left prosecutors in a very awkward position.
They had to publicly acknowledge that their star witness had lied under oath and had to answer questions about what they intend to do about it.
Reporters asked: Will you charge the 19-year-old Miami woman with perjury?
The state’s lead prosecutor, Bernie de la Rionda, gave an ambiguous answer: “You can all read the law and make your own decision.”
The woman had told prosecutors she was in the hospital on the day of Trayvon’s funeral.
“In fact, she lied,” defense attorney Don West said.
The disclosure was one of two major developments Tuesday at what had been expected to be a dull hearing about the exchange of case evidence.
The other: Zimmerman’s lawyers will not hold a “stand your ground” hearing in April, one that could clear him of criminal wrongdoing before his trial.
Defense attorney Mark O’Mara made that announcement in court, later saying he had not yet decided whether to scrap it entirely or roll it into Zimmerman’s second-degree-murder trial set for June 10.
“Our real focus is getting ready for the trial,” O’Mara said.
What Zimmerman most wants is to be tried by a jury of his peers, O’Mara said, and with fewer than 100 days until trial, “There’s only time for one hearing, and that’s a jury trial. … We have precious little time.”
Zimmerman was not at Tuesday’s hearing. Neither was his wife, Shellie, who’s awaiting trial on a perjury charge, accused of lying at her husband’s April 20 bond hearing. That’s what prompted the perjury question to de la Rionda.
If defense lawyers decide to forgo George Zimmerman’s immunity hearing, they would be cutting in half their number of opportunities to spare him from a life in prison.
Florida’s “stand your ground” statute has generated a great deal of public debate since Trayvon’s death one year ago in Sanford. It provides immunity to anyone who uses deadly force, provided he has a reasonable fear of imminent death or great bodily injury.
Zimmerman says he shot Trayvon in self-defense.
Because of Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson’s very tight schedule, when O’Mara told her he would not put on a two-week “stand your ground” hearing starting April 22, he essentially told her he would not hold that hearing before Zimmerman’s trial.
She did not press him to spell out his plans.
De la Rionda said he was “bewildered” by O’Mara’s decision but did not elaborate.
Zimmerman, a 29-year-old former Neighborhood Watch volunteer, called Sanford police Feb. 26, 2012, describing Trayvon as suspicious. Zimmerman shot the unarmed high-school junior a few minutes later, saying he fired in self-defense after the Miami Gardens 17-year-old punched him, broke his nose, then began pounding his head onto a sidewalk.
Sanford police found no witnesses to the initial confrontation, but Trayvon’s family attorney, Benjamin Crump, found something close: Trayvon’s girlfriend, identified in court records as “witness 8.” She told Crump she had been on the phone with Trayvon just before the shooting.
According to an interview Crump recorded after the shooting, the young woman said Trayvon told her a stranger was following him, and he was scared. Trayvon got away from him once, but the man reappeared, she said, and she heard Trayvon ask, “‘What are you following me for?’”
The man answered, “‘What are you doing here?’” she said, and then she said the man must have pushed Trayvon because the phone went dead.
The woman gave de la Rionda a very similar account during a sworn statement April 2, and when his office wrote up its probable-cause affidavit, charging Zimmerman with second-degree murder, it rehashed her account but did not include her allegation that she heard Zimmerman push Trayvon.
Despite’s Tuesday’s revelation, there is no indication the woman lied about what she heard on the phone the evening Trayvon was shot. But she appears to have given Crump another piece of bad information: her age.
He told reporters in March, when he played excerpts from the recorded interview, that she was 16 years old. In fact, she was 18 at the time. Crump has said he did not knowingly misrepresent her age.
O’Mara would not say whether the woman should be prosecuted for perjury for lying under oath about being in the hospital.
But months ago, he and co-counsel Don West began trying to investigate her. They earlier persuaded the judge to allow them to subpoena her Twitter and Facebook accounts so they can read her posts.

I replied:
Had mucho trouble with the Orlando Sentinel link/site; became afraid of it, but I think I read it all. [The link opened okay for me today, as I put this post together.] I learned when I practiced law that witnesses weren’t always reliable; but then, I also learned to question witnesses very closely, like they were on the witness stand being cross-examined, to reduce as much as possible the opportunity for witnesses to surprise me at trial, or before that, in a deposition taken by me, or by the other side.
George Zimmerman’s lawyer seems to have waived the Stand Your Ground Law defense hearing before the judge, which causes me to wonder if Zimmerman’s lawyer was afraid the Judge would rule the case would be decided by a jury, meaning the Judge was not convinced the was a good Stand Your Ground Law defense under the facts of Zimmerman’s case, which, if that ruling had happened, would have been in every newspaper in America, and very little likelihood of the defense finding jurors who had not heard the Judge denied the Stand Your Ground defense, which I all along felt was Zimmerman’s strongest defense, best chance to get off, even though I detested the law and what Zimmerman did that night. He should be denied a pistol/gun permit eternally.
I notice also, the photo the newspaper used of Trayvon Martin was not a pretty young boy, but actually, sort of thuggish.
The State Attorney has her ass in a sling whether she prosecutes Trayvon’s girlfriend or not for perjury. I would be surprised to see the girlfriend prosecuted before Zimmerman’s trial, and afterward, too. In any event, it ain’t helping the prosecution, and could very well cause the jury to say, what the heck?, the State Attorney didn’t get her act together, so how can we? Let’s leave it where it lies.
