there is more in earth and in heaven than in your philosophy, Horatio

Jesus wept

In a somewhat parallel universe yesterday, back and forth with Jerry Wickey of Key West, starting with this from him:

ALIEN TECHNOLOGY:

“Accounts of angels, miracles and other supernatural experiences which punctuate written human history are the product of advanced alien technology. Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

Four times now this month, this hypothesis was suggested to me. By three different people and a movie -”Knowing” with Nicholas Cage. In that case, the author of the movie must have felt the subject worth pursuit.

Some time before the year 2060, the specious nature of this hypothesis will become common knowledge and its fallacy will become widely accepted.

How could I possibly make such a statement?

“It is elementary, my dear Watson… elementary… observe…”

My prediction above is not a “gut feeling.” Gut feelings arise in an instant with out thinking. Thinking about a subject requires time and deliberation. If you want to know how I can responsibly make such a precise prediction about human knowledge, you’ll have to forgo any nascent gut feelings that may be formulating in your mind right now and think it through step by step.

As with any knowledge of consequence, it does not come easily. Though I welcome any who disagree to a Socratic discussion of why this is true, the “why” itself is too complex to put in an email. Instead I explain how it is I know that I can know that the “why” must be true.

Then followed a longish discourse my feeble mind, and my guts, and my heart and my soul were not up to following. If you want to see it, contact:

jerry@jerrywickey.com.

I replied:

Depends on which human definition of alien you use.
Jerry replied:

Do you make a distinction between biological creatures which are constrained by the laws of physics and spirit creatures which are completely unfettered by any laws of physics?

Or do you see spirit creatures as also bound to the laws of physics?

I define “aliens” as biological creatures which are beholden to the laws of physics And chemistry just like you and I.

I replied:

Yes, I make that distinction. However, there are different levels of physics than are known or imagined in this world, Horatio, and not everything that could be attributed to aliens by your definition is attributed to them actually, as they well know. Here’s something I wrote this morning after seeing what you had published:

THEY WOULD NOT LOOK UP

Once upon a time, I lived in Boulder, Colorado, widely known for wing nuts. One warm April morning, or maybe it was early afternoon, maybe around 1993, I was sitting on the patio with my wife, her maybe ten-year-old-son and a friend of ours who, like my wife, was a licensed clinical social worker. My son was a pretty normal kid who sometimes had mystical experiences. I was not in the least normal anymore, because I had mystical experiences about all the time. My wife looked normal, but she had mystical experiences about half the time. Our friend had never had a mystical experience, as far as he or we knew.Anyway, we were out there on the patio talking about this and that, none of which I remember, when I chanced, if you still believe in chance, I had gotten over that some years before, to look up and I saw a space ship parked beside a cloud maybe two or three miles up. Not a big cloud, and the space ship was a good bit smaller than the cloud. It was white and disk-shaped, but no bubbles on top or bottom. So alerted to the visitor, I told the others what I was looking at and asked them to join me in looking at it. For my efforts I heard, “Yeah, Sloan!” “Right, Sloan!” “Good luck, Sloan!”

A bit astounded that two adults with masters degrees and a seriously curious young boy responded in that way, I said, “I mean it, I’m looking at a space ship parked beside a cloud. Look up and see for yourself.”

More of the same from them.

Then, the ship zipped behind the cloud, moving in a way that defied human air ship and space ship flying ability. I announced that, and got more of the same.

Then, the cloud started stretching across the sky, like a jet leaving a vapor trail, only a good bit wider. I announced that to the others and urged them to look up and see for themselves. I got more of the same.

So, I watched the cloud stretch across the sky until it stopped stretching near the horizon line, maybe that took thirty seconds.

That night, the boy came to me privately and asked if I had really seen a space ship? I asked him if he had ever known me to make something like that up, we often talked about experiences scientists and human beings would not acknowledge. He said no.

I said the whole event was arranged for him and he had missed it because he didn’t want to deal with what his mother and our friend would say to him if he looked up and saw what I saw and told them he saw it. He said yes. I said I bet he would look up if it happened again. He agreed.

Far as I know, it never happened again. Maybe he will get another chance, maybe he won’t.

Writing and ruminating on that memory leaves me wondering if the beings in that space ship, or other aliens, or angels, which are a bit different, might be interested in using some of their technology to tweak the brains of American politicians, elected, wannabe elected, as a demonstration to the rest of Americans and the world.

The tweaking would cause the politicians to start behaving entirely differently, not like politicians for starts, not even like human beings for later starts, but like aliens, or maybe even like angels. More than just a demonstration, it would be an experiment to see how the rest of the Americans, and the rest of the world’s people, would respond.

Would the response be defensive, round them all up and put them somewhere the key is thrown away after all the mind-bending drugs are injected?

Would the response be simply shoot and kill them on sight?

Would the response be a curious wanting to know more, but basically not really wanting to know more and instead locking them up and shooting and killing them on sight?

Would the response be the birth of one or more, maybe hundreds of more, new religions, which start vying for top dog using whatever means available to exterminate the heads of the other new religions and all of their lemmings?

Would the response be a general understanding and acceptance that each of these politicians are smitten with something from above because they all seem to be saying pretty much the same thing and it sort of sounds like what Jesus said in the Gospels, which hardly anybody ever took to heart down over the ages?

Would American Christians claim it is the Second Coming and they are the Elect who will be transported to heaven and all others will roast in hell forever?

Would the American Jews and Muslims and Buddhists and New Agers and Pagans and Arcane-ers and so forth feel left behind or pissed off and retaliate in some way?

The more I write about this, the more I am thinking my idea for many years that the way to turn things around in America pronto is for a space ship to land on the White House lawn and the aliens come out of it and try to gain an audience with the President might not be such a good idea for the aliens, if they want to keep breathing or whatever it is they do to stay alive.

But then, maybe their concern is the mass psychosis that will befall most Americans upon the evening TV news showing the event to Americans. The rest of the world’s humans might go around the bend, too.

I am pretty sure, if my wife and her and my clinical social worker friend had looked up and seen that space ship, they would have needed months, if not years, of therapy before they were convinced they had imagined what they had looked up and seen – that, or I had put a spell on them.

Alas, if I had known how to put a spell on them, I would have spelled them to look up at that space ship.

Sloan Bashinsky

Later today, I experienced a different technology.

I was fried burnt this morning from inside spirit work related to today’s and previous posts on the State Attorney primary. So after two naps by 1:30 p.m. today, still feeling half dead, I drove up to Good Foods Conspiracy to have lunch and chill. From there, I wandered up to the Winn-Dixie shopping center to find a trash can to dump my smoothie cup.Pulling into the parking lot, I saw the county library was open. I had thought the libraries were closed on Mondays, and was glad to see this one open because I was out of novels to read and had been grouching about that. I learned inside that the libraries had started last January being open on Monday again. I quickly found two sci-fi novels, which looked somewhat interesting, one especially, about a being from Earth long before it was called that, who had been on a long tour of the Galaxy and was in his/her final moments, trying to tell his/her story before he/she expired, according to the flap jacket teaser. I then drove over to Centennial Bank to get some cash from the ATM, and headed home, found your email, answered it. Then, I added this story about another kind of technology, which nudged me to the library under guise of my finding a trash can to dump the smoothie cup and also to go by the bank. Technology I attribute to angels – telepathy, sort of. Ain’t no telling what all technology the angels have, but I don’t imagine human beings will ever figure out much of it while they are still human beings. I imagine spacefaring aliens, by the standard definition, figured out a little more angel technology than humans did, but probably not anywhere close to much of it. I suppose they figured out, though, that aliens come in lots of different wrappers, and lots of them don’t even let on they are sentient, although angels know. Might be, human beings’ grasp of the whole of it is like maybe one grain of sand out of all the grains of sand on this planet. Maybe not even that much.

Jerry replied:

“You made man a little lower than the angels, but crowned him with glory and honor. You made him ruler over all your creation ; you put everything under his feet.. . . It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.”– The Psalmist also Jesus also Paul all three said this

I replied:

The Psalmist was David, according to a Gideon King James version of the Bible given to me perhaps a year ago by a fellow on Big Pine Key, who spends much of his time trying to link dots in the Bible with dots in science, and vice versa, somewhat like you do, but somewhat differently. Similarly, neither of you seem to express any direct experience with anything beyond the first dimension, although you correctly intuit that aliens, that is extraterrestrials, exist.

Some years ago, the angels paired me with an Ohio woman, who was about to become seriously multidimensional. Already, she was intuitive, but what she became was far beyond that, in a very short period of time, which I witnessed.

At one point, she said she was told by Archangel Michael that she and I were being taught to live like angels live. She was told angels do what is before them to do until they get an indication from higher up, where higher up was they did not say, to do something new, and they do it automatically, obediently, without questioning it. Already, I was living like that for maybe eight years before she and I were paired up. It’s the only way I know to live now, perhaps because the other way doesn’t work for me anymore. The other way was retired, or destroyed. What you quoted from the Bible applies not just to human beings on this planet, but also to sentient “plasma” beings throughout the creation, who are below the angel level. I use plasma somewhat in slang, to indicate beings who are “biological” and not just “spirit”, although I imagine in God’s science everything was created from something which was plasma in some way. Otherwise, how could humans be made in God’s image, if there was not some kind of like plasma in both?

Before lying down to start reading the sci-fi novel about the being who had started out human on Earth long before it was called that, I found myself thinking about the shamanic process, which I live 24-7, 365, is technology human science may never recognize, even though human beings have recognized it for a very long time.

I thought, the aborigine tribes all had a shaman and a shaman apprentice in training. The tribe members all knew the shaman and the apprentice, and treated them differently than the rest of the tribe members. But modern “tribes” have lost that recognition and appreciation, although shamans still exist among them.

Marlo Morgan wrote a book, Mutant Message Down Under, about an aborigine tribe in the Australian outback, who all were shamans. I met a man and a woman from that tribe when I was in Australia in the fall of 1995. They came to me out of dream time, at night, when I was with several younger white Australians. Only I saw the two. Only I heard the two.

I asked them what I had that they wanted? I asked telepathically. They laughed, said they were Real People, what could I possibly have that they would want? I was mortified, they saw I was mortified. I asked why they had come? They said they came to welcome me into their tribe. I wept. If I had known what lay ahead of me, I would have wept lots more. Might have jumped off a bridge, too.

Jerry, what I am writing here is science. Soul science. Yet today’s science ignores the soul. Today’s science ignores shamans, or acknowledges them with pejorative labels. Today’ religions treat shamans the same as today’s science treats them. Alas, but for shamans, the human species would be cut off from what is beyond the physical, beyond the biological.

Without shamans, Earth human tribes would have no link to angels, nor to what is beyond angels, including God, for want of a better word to describe what not even angels can fathom, much less describe. Shamans are like electrical transformers through whom spiritual “electricity” passes and is weakened so that human beings can receive it without exploding. Shamans go through horrible experiences being made able to be transformers.Quite a few times I have initiated this sort of discussion with the devout Christian who gave me the Gideon King James version Bible, and always the discussion has gone nowhere. The fellow simply cannot, or will not, take in what I tell him about my experiences, which are every bit as real as my fingers striking the keyboard to write this to you.The dots he seeks to link between human science, which he studies very hard, and the Bible, which he studies just as hard, mean little to me. I live in what he seeks to prove intellectually. I live in it physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, all the time. There is no separation. There are no dots to connect, in the sense he is trying to connect the dots.Jesus felt terribly alien. He wasalien. But he was not what I call an extraterrestrial. He was beyond that a ways. And he knew it. If extraterrestrials were important to human souls, if extraterrestrial sciences were important, Jesus would have taught that instead of the science he taught, science of the soul, which the religion that hijacked his name has twisted beyond recognition and turned into superstition.Sloan

Jerry replied:

You struggle with semantics.I understand what you are trying very hard to describe, what most simply make fun of you for saying, because they simply choose to ignore the unfamiliar. The most important part of the quote I sent was not about the relationship between angels and mankind, nor shamen, but that the world shall not continue as it is forever.“the world to come, about which we speak”That coming world is better than the current. And mankind is not the one in control bringing about this new way.The current world has a purpose.Every horrible deed committed is needful to teach the select of mankind to be worthy of leadership. Mankind is younger than most think.”An old man is like an infant of seven days”In the coming world, the rest of mankind will be led by those who learned. Then we shall be introduced to other biological creatures, aliens. And learn to lead them as well.

The process of the gestation of a child of God takes billions of years and requires a complex universe full of biological life to accomplish. All life is not sacred. The portion appointed to most living things, including many people and aliens, is of this life and nothing more. There is no return from, no voice for them after the grave.Their purpose is to teach the young children of God.

You have difficulty discerning useful information from useless information. That is something in which I can help.

Hmmm. In a dream before dawn today …

I am speaking to a woman in Key West, with whom I had to be very rough some years ago, after I offered her something, as per orders I had received from the angels, something of this world really important to her and to me, but she really messed up accepting the delivery and I had to retract it, as per further orders I had received from the angels.

I tell the woman, when I write into another person, unless it’s telling someone how to go to the post office, or something like that, I write into something enormous, and mysterious, and mixed up, needing direction.

Everyone Jesus encountered was mixed up. He tried to help them get un-mixed up. He trained me. He continues to train me. As do others in his circle.

All life is sacred, has a divine purpose. Every sentient being in the Creation is a child of God. Every last one of them, including Lucifer, a strain of which exists in all sentient beings as part of their own spiritual development. Jesus knew that very well. That is what the three temptations were about. After which, it was said, the devil left Jesus to return at a more opportune time …

Jesus was a shaman, and more … an eternal being, high priest in the Eternal Order Melchizedek, according to the Letter to the Hebrews …

Elsewhere in the New Testament, Jesus said, take no thought for tomorrow, for each day has enough trouble unto its own …

Elsewhere in the New Testament, Jesus told his disciples he had flocks about which they did not know …

Dispute Over Oil and Gas Investments Preceded Major Bashinsky’s Mysterious “Suicide”

[Click on link and you will be able to see the lawsuit complaint filed by my father's estate against Chip's company]
William Cobb “Chip” Hazelrig

In the months leading to Major Bashinsky’s death in March 2010, court documents show that his father’s estate was being stonewalled in a lawsuit over proceeds from Oklahoma oil and gas wells.

Is it coincidence that Bashinsky was reported missing just two days after the contentious lawsuit concluded? We do not have a definitive answer to that question. But public records show that Sloan Y. Bashinsky Sr. invested more than $37 million in the wells, via partnerships with W&H Investments of Birmingham, and his estate was trying to determine his share of the profits.

That sounds like it should have been a fairly straightforward endeavor. Code of Alabama 10-8A-403(c)(2) makes it clear that W&H’s Fred Wedell and William Cobb “Chip” Hazelrig had a duty to turn over pertinent information to the estate of a deceased partner. And court documents show that Sloan Bashinsky and his advisers tried to obtain the information while he was alive, in order to prepare an estate disposition plan. Even after Mr. Bashinsky’s death in August 2005, the estate tried to resolve the matter without filing a lawsuit.

Why was a lawsuit required, and why did it drag on for almost four years, with the estate apparently never receiving adequate answers to this question: “What happened to Sloan Y. Bashinsky Sr.’s money?” Why was the process so difficult when it seems clear that the estate was legally entitled to the information it sought? Did the lawsuit become so rancorous that a member of the Bashinsky family became “collateral damage”–paying with his life over issues that did not directly involve him?

We know that Hazelrig has ties to both the gaming industry and to powerful figures in Alabama Republican Party circles. Did the prying eyes of the Bashinsky estate prove so unnerving that someone, perhaps a non-party to the lawsuit, felt the need to send a lethal warning shot?

This much is clear from an objective review of the court record: Hazelrig and Wedell were not anxious to turn over information about their business affairs, and they gave the distinct impression of trying to hide something. The estate had to file at least a half dozen motions to compel during the discovery process–with all of them being granted–and those documents show just how deeply W&H was willing to dig in its heels. Let’s consider information from one of the early motions to compel, filed on August 30, 2007. The full motion can be viewed at the end of this post:

An Elaborate Shell Game?

The estate contends that it notified W&H of the need to maintain records related to Bashinsky’s investments. So what happened? The records, according to court documents, wound up with Enterra Energy Trust, a Canadian outfit that became the operator of Birmingham Exploration Venture (BEV) partnerships, which now is being operated under the name Altex Energy. “They are out of our control and cannot be produced,” W&H responded, in so many words. The estate was not amused. From the motion to compel:

It is a matter of record that Defendants Wedell and Hazelrig, through W&H, once had custody and control of the documents at issue and transferred them to Enterra without Bashisky’s knowledge or consent. Moreover, such transfer was made after Defendants were on notice that the documents were sought by Bashinsky and the representatives of his estate.

Well . . . Well . . . Wells

In how many wells did Bashinsky hold an interest? You might think it would be fairly easy to answer that question–but you would be wrong. From the motion to compel:

To date, Defendants have provided lease assignments regarding a number of wells in which the BEV Partnerships held an interest. Admittedly, in some instances, it is difficult to determine the actual wells to which the lease assignments refer. However, according to the Plaintiffs’ best judgment at this time, the number of assignments provided refers to 43 wells. However, according to the well list prepared by Plaintiffs from the information contained in the BEV Partnerships’ tax records, the BEV Partnerships held an interest in 288 wells. Inexplicably, among those lease assignments produced, twelve were executed in 2006, several months after Bashinsky’s death.

A reasonable observer can understand why the estate had concerns about the W&H record keeping.

What’s In A Name?

Court records suggest that the estate was perplexed that Mr. Bashinsky’s funds were transferred to various entities without his knowledge. And the estate seems particularly suspicious of the relationship between W&H and Enterra, the company based in Canada:

Defendants have produced no contracts between W&H and Enterra subsidiaries Altex Resources/Energy to operate wells in which the BEV Partnerships have an ownership interest. Therefore, Plaintiffs are unable to determine the specifics of the operating agreement or the compensation paid to Altex Resources/Energy for operating the wells. Defendants would instead have Plaintiffs accept at face value computer data generated by Defendants’ accountants, after the fact, without any supporting records to verify the validity and accuracy of the data. Plaintiffs can only conclude from the lack of written operating agreements between W&H and Enterra that the two entities have an especially close relationship.

One gets the impression that Mr. Bashinsky, during his life, was kept in the dark about the relationship between W&H and Enterra. And it appears that deception continued after his death.

Why was someone trying to hide information about Mr. Bashinsky’s investments? And did that game of hide-and-seek, involving perhaps $100 million or more, contribute in some way to Major Bashinsky’s death?

We will continue to examine that question.

(To be continued)

Anonymous said… I wonder if the reason Hazelrig visited Key West and the other son was to see if he had any knowledge. It sure was NOT a coincidence that he just showed up there especially since they were not close. I can not believe the mentality of some not being able to see what is going on. He went there to make sure of what the person knew and possibly make sure the person never talked. Can you think threat?x

==============================

I, the other son, already had written several times in posts to my websites about that meeting with Chip Hazelrig in Key West, some or all of which Roger Shuler had read. My latest post is at this link: Finally, Legal Schnauzer admits he published incorrect forensic evidence re shooting of Major Bashinsky

Posted onAugust 4, 2012 by Bash, at goodmorningbirmingham. com.

Re Anonymous’s comment, I sent this comment to Legal Schnauzer. Don’t know if Shuler will post it. Although he claims to be a journalist, he seldom publishes my comments to what he writes about Major, my family and me. He seems to like to cherry pick what works for his theories, while leaving alone what does not.

To Legal Schnauzer:
Actually, Chip Hazelrig and I were not only not close, far as I know we never had met. He said he had heard I lived in Key West, which sometimes I did, sometimes I didn’t. I only had a cell phone and lived in a rented apartment in the back of a commercial building owned by a Michigan family.
When Chip called me on my cell phone, I told him where to hang out until I got there, which took about 5 minutes by bicycle. I asked how he’d gotten my cell phone number? He said he’d gone into a bar on Duval Street and asked the first fellow he saw if he knew Sloan Bashinsky? Yes, the fellow said. Did he have my phone number? No, but maybe his drinking buddy did. Yes, his drinking buddy had my cell phone number and gave it to chip.
I asked Chip what brought him to Key West? He said he came down with a friend who was a fishing nut. The friend kept his boat in Ft. Lauderdale, and they had run the boat down from there to Key West. Chip said, after a couple of days on the water, he was worn out – he wasn’t a fisherman anyway – and took a day off. I used to be a fishing nut. All day on the water is brutal, sun coming down and sun reflecting back up at you off the water. Chip said he was taking in the sights and decided to see if he could find me.
I just today received from the lawyer of my father’s estate, his and his law partner’s version of what went down re the lawsuit for the accounting they and my father’s other personal representatives had filed against Chip’s oil & gas company. Their version is very similar to what Chip told me in Key West. At the end, the two lawyers signed off saying they were satisfied with the outcome of the accounting lawsuit. I went to law school and then to tax law school with the lawyer who represented my father’s estate. I knew the the other lawyer when I practiced law in Bham. I knew the other personal representatives well, also. They say they were satisfied with the outcome. The judge approved the settlement.
Chip said the accounting lawsuit had been settled before he came down to Key West. I was not there, or in any way involved. The two lawyers who handled it said my brother Major was not in any way involved in the accounting lawsuit.
I may have a new post about this soon at goodmorningbirmingham.com.

=================================

I agree, it was no coincidence Chip and I met in Key West. He was astonished over how he had found me. I told him the odds of him finding me were zero. God had arranged it. He did not disagree. I told my father’s lawyers in an email the other day that the odds of Chip finding me in Key West were about zero, unless God arranged it. They did not disagree. The one I went to law school with, and later to tax law school, had an experience with me right after my father died, which impressed him that maybe I was not making up what I said about my dealings with angels. His name is John P. McKleroy. He is a senior partner at Spain & Gillon, in Birmingham.

The problem Shuler has is he cannot think globally. His readers seem similarly limited. It doesn’t matter how much they probe and wonder and speculate, Major killed himself and tried to make it look like someone else did it, just as the Jefferson County Coroner and the Birmingham Police detective both decided, and Chip Hazelrig had nothing to do with it. I don’t know what Shuler was like before he lost his job at UAB [University of Alabama in Birmingham], but from what I’ve read that he’s written about that and his life and thinking afterward, it looks to me he has not been right in the head since he lost that job.

Sancho Panza replaces the gun lover George Zimmerman supporter in banging me for writing about the shooting of Trayvon Martin

Sancho Panza responded to this part of yesterday’s diva medicine – the gun god lover George Zimmerman defender bids me adieu post at goodmorningbirmingham.com:

“As for Nashville J being a racist, I’m just as concerned as he is about the racial flaming generated over Trayvon Martin’s tragic death by President Obama, Attorney General Holden, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, the New Black Panthers and what I have labled “the justice for Travonnites” … I’m just as concerned as J about Rodney King-like riots all over America, if George Zimmerman is let off … I’m also just as concerned about the reaction of the Eds in America, if Zimmerman is convicted … I see no good outcome unless something extraordinary happens … Something like Zimmerman pleads guilty … Something like Trayvon’s parents ask for the charges to be dismissed against Zimmerman …”

Sloan, you are being wishy-washy, Obamalike… again!

Really, what are YOU concerned about? Even your used up life is not worth that much these days… so don’t be concerned anymore and stop stoking the fire of racism. The fact of the matter is that actions have consequences and it is specially so in the old testament sense of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth… the good old reverend Wright was right, “America, the chickens have come home to roost”

I replied:I wrote what I am concerned about in the Zimmerman case. The named Negro-descent individuals and groups in what I wrote stoked the fires of racism in that tragic situation. You called Nashville J a racist. You stoked that fire. I responded. Your strong reactions to my writing about this grievous situation remind me of the gun lover’s reactions, but from the other side. I have always felt Jeremiah Wright’s view of America was pretty right on and that Obama made a grave mistake, spiritually, distancing himself from Wright to get votes. I told you Obama was bad news. You voted for him anyway. Now you resurrect Wright, whom I never left, and you resurrect Malcom X, who actually went through a transformation later in life, but in this audio sounds a lot like the gun lover. Nothing wishy washy about me in this situation. I deal with each aspect of it straight up. I don’t shut up to keep happy you, the gun lover, or a good friend of mine from Birmingham back when, who is in Zimmerman’s camp. I am concerned about lots of things, Domingo. But I don’t sit around fretting or stewing. I never think of this horrific situation that riles you when I write about it, unless someone pushes it back in front of me. Engaged, I respond. Then, I move on to the next engagement. That is what I do: I respond to what engages me, then I move on. My response nearly always is “out of the box”. Systems don’t like being jumped, people don’t like it either. Jesus jumped everyone’s systems. Jumping systems is what I do. Still looks to me humanity is devolving, although a few individuals, by comparison, are not. I still wonder why humanity is allowed to remain on this planet. That keeps coming back around in my thoughts. My used up life is what it is. My preference remains that it stop now, but I’m too chicken about what will come home to roost if I stop it now. And, a part of me hopes for brighter times for me on this world, selfish as that is. Would be nice if America and the species enjoyed brighter times, too. Maybe the angels will bring that off. I don’t know how to do it, though. Nor do I see anyone else right now who knows how. Wright is calling for America’s Armageddon. X was calling for an Islamic take-over of America. The black version. The Titanic was invincible. Then, it sunk.

LIAR:

Sloan, people like this guy disgust me… such a wimp… I rather hear “J”, the racist, than this guy hiding his inadequacies/fears behind his wife’s skirt and now using the Venerable Dalai Lama(14th) with this insane assertion that he would have condoned vigilantism!

I was responding, directly, to you via email about your latest blog entry, you chose to make it public, perhaps to create pathos and so forth… that was your choice, not mine, and therefore you are stoking the fire of racism! The only fire I am stoking is under you, Sloan for continuing to regurgitate misinformation about the TZ case!

It was your choice, you know I publish most of what I receive on a subject I am covering.

I don’t have any strong reaction about this case, these events are quite distant from me and my experiences, but if you really think that Malcolm X, The Gun Diva and Moi are somehow equally guilty of partisanship and therefore lacking objectivity, then there is something definitely “warped” in the way you are forcing reality to maintain your precious facade of objectivity. That facade makes your position wishy-washy, just like Obama’s … the fact that you don’t see this is really a shame, Sloan!

Yes, Domingo, that’s my position. Nothing wishy-washy about it. You are identified with Trayvon Martin in the way the gun lover is identified with George Zimmerman. I received several strong reactions from you, proving it, which I have published.

Nothing wishy washy about me in this situation. I deal with each aspect of it straight up. I don’t shut up to keep happy you, NRA Ed, or a good friend of mine from Birmingham back when, who is in Zimmerman’s camp.

Yeah, you’ve jumped so many systems that you’ve managed to jump all over your bad-ass self and can’t tell if you are moving forwards or backwards anymore! LOL
:-P

Sloan, the Crabby crab in-a-box dreaming he’s a butterfly:

Actually, the crab is a member of the spider family, and in introducing a new player into this production you have told me what makes you so crabby: Madame Black Widow.

Still looks to me humanity is devolving, although a few individuals, by comparison, are not. I still wonder why humanity is allowed to remain on this planet. That keeps coming back around in my thoughts.

It’s all the artificial foods we eat, our environment, etc… there is no more connection with the rhythms of Nature… with the Mother!

That’s about 5 percent of it. The other 95 percent is soul dysfunction.

X was calling for a Islamic take-over of America. The black version. The Titanic was invincible. Then, it sunk.

Brighter times for you? He, he, this is the best time of the rest of your life, Sloan, enjoy it while you can!

Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. Got to you pretty good, Domingo, for you to come back at me like this. You protest entirely too much, like the gun god lover protested entirely too much.

Joining the UN is like selling your soal to the devil. Not joining the UN cost the Dalia Lama Tibet, and not seeing the karma and spiritual lesson ain’t doing his soul any good, either. I been wondering if you belong to the John Birch Society. Even if you don’t, you sound like you do. You are really messed up. Just one example: You say the Dalai Lama needs to move on and let the Chinese have Tibet, but you do not recognize that in the case of the Hawaiian activists. What I say about Hawaii is: the invaders, that would be the white/haole Americans, ought to leave Hawaii, instead of acting like the Chinese invaders in Tibet. The early American settlers did about the same thing to the “Indians”. My last wife is part Cherokee. Adios… Ed (I am the only one who uses this site, it is mine) Then put your name on it, because the way it looks now, the site is run by a woman who makes quilts, and so far, all I have seen come from you is testosterone and aggression. Do you want people to think you are a cross-dresser, gay? I don’t suppose you led the charge into Iraq and Afghanistan. Once upon a time, I was taken by the angels into the heart of China, where I marinated for a while. It was awful, dense, heavy, toxic, lifeless. Then, I was taken into the heart of Islam, where I marinated for a while. It was identical to the heart of China. Then, I was taken into the bottom of the Pentagon, where I marinated for a while. It was identical to the heart of China and Islam. My experience with you left me feeling the NRA is in competition with the Pentagon, al Qaeda and China for selling souls to the devil, which actually exists. I have had thousands of dealings with it. I deal with it every day, in myself, in other people, in the spirit realms. There is no human being who does not have to deal with it, in self, in other people, in the spirit realms. Jesus, the Dalai Lama, every person had to deal with it, but very few people know they are dealing with it. Alas, it is the human condition. George Zimmerman’s redemption would begin with his pleading guilty. Not to worry, I know how you and George feel about that. There are many ways to sell your soul to the devil, and America has done a very good job of it. I don’t for a heartbeat agree with al Qaeda, but Osama’s allegation that America was the Great Satan was accurate. What Osama did not get was his brand of Islam is the Great Satan, too. Vaya con Dios, Ed. More particularly, go with the female side of God, which is crying out for your attention and affection. The email handle you are using is objective proof of that.
FYI – Diva:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A diva (/ˈdvə/; Italian: [ˈdiːva]) is a celebrated female singer. The term is used to describe a woman of outstanding talent in the world of opera, and, by extension, in theatre, cinema and popular music. The meaning of “diva” is closely related to that of “prima donna“.
The word entered the English language in the late 19th century. It is derived from the
Italiannoun diva, a female deity. The plural of the word in English is “divas”; in Italian, dive [ˈdiːve]. The basic sense of the term is “goddess“,[1][2] the feminine of the Latin word divus (Italian divo), someone deified after death, or Latin deus, a god.[3] The word is cognate with the Hindu term “Devi” meaning goddess (masculine “Deva” meaning god) which in turn originates from the ancient Sanskrit language, one of the earliest Indo-European languages;[4] the word is also cognate with the Avestan term denoting the Zoroastrian concept of the Daevas and with the Lithuanian word deivė, meaning a female deity.
The male form divo exists in Italian and is usually reserved for the most prominent leading tenors, like
Enrico Caruso and Beniamino Gigli. The Italian term divismo describes the star-making system in the film industry. In contemporary Italian, diva and divo simply denote much-admired celebrities, especially film actresses and actors, and can be translated as “(film) star”.
An extravagant admiration for divas is a common element of
camp culture.

Before reading the above, Sancho Panza tossed in his sentiments about Ed:

Sloan, people like this guy disgust me… such a wimp… I rather hear “J”, the racist, than this guy hiding his inadequacies/fears behind his wife’s skirt and now using the Venerable Dalai Lama(14th) with this insane assertion that he would have condoned vigilantism! I wonder if he would abide by ALL the moral declarations that the Dalai Lama has made? I think not…..

Take a look at this and tell me how does this guy or Zimmerman meet the stipulated conditions for the use of self defense:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVlx6rzJFfU

I replied:

Domingo, this guy, even if he is not one, now looks and sounds like a John Bircher.

As I wrote to you the other day, I let anyone chime in because that provides a counterpoint to my ravings. Otherwise, there would only be my ravings. Maybe kin to the sound of one-hand clapping.

In the latter 1990s, I realized it was a huge trap for me to expect any agreement with anything I say or write. An ego trap. A trap made by the devil, too. Fanatics live in those traps unawares. They are unable to detach from their crusade and watch the entire picture show. Took the angels a good while to get me to see the difference between the two approaches.

Yep, I still get emotionally yanked into stuff that shows up on my doorstep unvited or unexpected, or both. I suppose there are grand spiritual masters who do not react emotionally to the horror shows this species is so adept at producing. I’m not there, don’t know if I want to be there. Not sure I would feel like I was alive, if I didn’t have emotions. This NRAite certainly got my emotions running.

There is spiritual gain from getting your buttons punched but not reacting and waiting a while to respond from a cooler place. If waiting is possible. It’s not always possible to wait, and then is when the spontaneous gets its time in the sun. That’s important, too.

God, some of the shit that came out of my mouth at candidate forums – it’s a wonder I wasn’t locked up and the key thrown away. But if it had not snuck up on me, I would not have had the spontaneous response.

Some of my fondest Keys memories are spontaneous responses at candidate forums, goverment meetings, church services, coffee shop discussions, chance encounters on the street.

I had some fun in this latest round with the NRAite today, and some of it wasn’t fun. I had a hard time hearing what the Dalai Lama had to say, the video sound isn’t very good; I never have felt much connection with him.

Sloan

As for Nashville J being a racist, I’m just as concerned as he is about the racial flaming generated over Trayvon Martin’s tragic death by President Obama, Attorney General Holden, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, the New Black Panthers and what I have labled “the justice for Travonnites” … I’m just as concerned as J about Rodney King-like riots all over America, if George Zimmerman is let off … I’m also just as concerned about the reaction of the Eds in America, if Zimmerman is convicted … I see no good outcome unless something extraordinary happens … Something like Zimmerman pleads guilty … Something like Trayvon’s parents ask for the charges to be dismissed against Zimmerman …

further back and forth with the as yet unidentified gun god worshipping George Zimmerman supporter …

George Zimmerman

Carrying on from yesterday’s the NRA gun worshipper George Zimmerman fan and I wrangle some more post, my part in italics:

Once again Sloan,

Gosh, Elaine, what happened to: “I know we are at an empass in our philosophies. Thank you for conversing with this crazy caucazoid (mispelled on purpose) It’s been fun. I really am going on to another topic…”?

I really was hoping you had adios-ed …

you mix personal experience ( dare I say delusions) with actual verifiable facts. It is as if I said god has told me thousands of times that jesus did not exist. Would that be proof to anyone? No. So please stick to objective verifiable facts in you argument. Once upon a time, anyone who did not believe the earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth was either not objective (delusional) or a heretic (demonic). Way you come across so far, you have a one-dimensional life, which was what everyone around Jesus was having when he showed up in their midst. Some of them moved beyond that and saw plenty of proof God existed, which objectively satisfied them. Same has happened with me. I truly would be delusional if I expected you, or anyone, to believe anything I say about my experiences beyond the one dimension. However, I have known lots of people who were beyond the one dimension, with whom I had numerous discussions about their and my own multi-dimensional experiences, which we took as objective fact, verified. Maybe some day you will have those kinds of experiences yourself, otherwise you will remain at impass with anything beyond the first dimension. “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

Yes George was charged as you say. In your mind that justifies Travon’s behavior. Did I say it justified Trayvon’s behavior? No. I wrote that because, after saying you hoped the trial was based on the facts of the case itself, you went after Trayvon over his life before he met George Zimmerman. So I mirrored with George what you had done with Trayvon. I thought what I did, and why I did it, was blatantly obvious – objective. In my mind it does not. It prooves that Trayvon will attack someone who has not provoked him, and it prooves that George will help a friend, even though it was wrong. It proved George Zimmerman assaulted a police officer who tried to arrest him. It proved nothing about what Zimmerman will do to help a friend. Your thinking here is devoid of objectivity and is twisted. You have totally identified with and merged with Zimmerman; you defend yourself by defending him; you defend yourself by attacking Trayvon. Violence is not in the heart. It is in the mind. According to you. Actually, violence is in the heart, which is the seat of the soul, all of which, and more, steers the mind’s thinking. Violence in self defence is not wrong. It is self preservation. Many who follow your book not my book claim that there is a commandment “Thou shall not kill”. This is a misrepresentation of the true wording ” Thou shall not murder”. So it is argued by some. God placed in us the command of self preservation. And Jesus placed in his disciples the command to turn the other cheek and to resist not one who does evil. In your book he gave the Jews the commandment to make sure they knew the difference. In that book, Jesus told the Jews, on the Two Great Commandments hung all the law and the prophets. You seem to have Moses confused with Jesus. I inherited this site from my wife, when she changed to a Mac and had to get a new site name. I made no attempt to hide my gender, although you sound a bit sexist to think it matters. Actually, I thought it was rank cowardice for you to carry on the way you did under someone else’s email handle, which was the occasion for my remark about hiding behind your mother’s, or your wife’s, skirt. Even yet you have not disclosed your name. As a result, my readers only know your wife’s name and email address. Perhaps you might wish to let her know that, in case she receives something from one of my readers. You did not ask me why those names appeared, you attacked me. For all you know, I could have been a woman married to another woman, a man with a sex change, or a man named Sue. I spoke of my wife, which shows I am not trying to hide anything. But you cannot logically counter my position, so you grasp at straws by trying to attack my character. You attacked your own character when you launched a full-bore attack on me to begin your peace mission. You remind me of George Zimmerman. He got in Trayvon Martin’s space, he was armed, he never thought that might not be a terribly peaceful thing to do? Yes, many men of peace speak of what they percieve as evil in that manner. I hope people like Stalin and Hitler are still suffering. Most likely, they are still suffering. I imagine George W. Bush will suffer for his invented invasion of Iraq, and for his stupid war in Afghanistan. I imagine Lyndon Johnson might still be suffering for Vietnam, which destroyed America’s soul and left it trying ever since to decisively win a war and reach atonement, which cannot be achieved in that way. You still believe that people do not have the right to defend themselves against evil. They do. I did not say people do not have the right to defend themselves. I said Christians who defend themselves with guns crucify Jesus. If they wish to live the way you preach, they should not claim Jesus as their ticket to heaven. I used Grannies with Guns to show you that old women still cherish their lives enough to want the abilty to defend themselve – something you find appauling. I don’t find them wanting to defend themselves appalling. What I find appalling is Christians behaving in that way. Like it or not, Christians are held to a much higher standard than people who do not claim Jesus as their ticket to God. Too bad they are not told that by Christian ministers, the Pope, etc. The Dali Lama wrote” if a man is being shot at, he would be a fool not to shoot back”. He is a man of peace that recognizes the validity of self defence. Ha! Did the Dalai Lama shoot back when the Chinese took Lasha? Nope. His Holiness fled to India with his entire entourage. From there he launched an international propaganda campaign aimed at the UN, America, the world, bringing pressure on the Chinese to give Tibet back to the Tibetans. He asked others to fight for him and the Tibetans. If Tibet had joined the UN after it was created, it could have called on UN help when the Chinese invasion came, which might have prevented the invasion from coming. If not, the UN, under its Charter, would have gone to Tibet’s aid, as the UN had gone to South Korea’s aid after the North Korean invasion. When the Tibetans asked the UN to save them from the Chinese, the UN said, so sorry, you are not a UN member. In another dimension, it was karma, it needed to happen, to drag the Tibetans out of their secular and spiritual isolation into the rest of the world where the Dalai Lama and other high lamas would share their spiritual and metaphysical ways, which were considerable and quite different from western ways. The Dalai Lama seems not yet able to grasp that he is supposed to let go of Tibet, let the Chinese have it, and move foward from there. A national example of dying and being born again, if the Dalai Lama and the Tibetans do it consciously. Otherwise, the point is missed, the lesson gets taught again in some way, if not in this life, then in another. You cannot drag the Dalai Lama into this discusison, if you do not also drag in the other dimensions in play. The other dimensions are in play in everything I experience, engage. Again, these are your experiences. Or actually they are your interpretations of experiences. Actually, they are my experiences. As I said, I am fine with your beliefs. Beliefs are just that, beliefs. Experiences are something else entirely. I am sorry you have suffered so much in your life. We agree there, and about 90 percent of it I brought on myself, just as George Zimmerman brought on himself what he now is experiencing. Neither you, nor George, can blame Trayon for any of it. George was the moving cause. Therefore, it all falls on his head karmically and spiritually. Yes, Trayvon has his own karma and spiritual consequences, which he cannot blame on George. That’s how it works beyond the first dimension. I can see why you struggle emotionally so much. The stand you ground law is a great law. But you still fail to see the facts. It does not apply when someone has no avenue to retreat. That was the law before the stand your ground law was passed. I am a lawyer. I understand the law of self defense and the stand your ground law. The stand your ground law encourages vigilantism, such as George Zimmerman got very close to committing, if he did not actually commit it. The stand your ground law lets rival gangs in Florida shoot it out, and the survivors claim they had to shoot back to stay alive. A Key West fellow got into a fist fight, got knocked down, then went home and got a pistol, came back and got into another argument with the other fellow, then drew the gun, the other fellow turned and ran, and the gunman shot him in the back and got off scott-free because the judge ruled the stand your ground law applied. Wonderful law you worship. Under the old law, the guy would have been prosecuted for attempted murder – the fleeing man was shot in the hip, as I recall, and eventually recovered. The State Attorney (District Attorney) down here in the Keys is a personal friend of mine. He was beside himself over that case. He says State Attorneys and police and sheriff departments all over Florida are pulling their hair out over insane dismissals of shooting cases based on the stand your ground law. He says they all are trying to get the stand your ground law repealed in Florida. Because of the stand your ground law, the State Attorney in the Sanford, Florida county did not want to prosecute Zimmerman. That’s why Governor Scott make a political appointment of a black State Attorney from a nearby county to investigate. Scott figured if she also did not prosecute, the outraged blacks would be happy, or at least somewhat subdued. Ancient wisdom I just invented: mess with a cluster fuck, you still have a cluster fuck. He sill would be released if the DA felt it was self defence, with or without the stand you ground law. That’s why there is no need for a stand your ground law. However, if the State Attorney for Sanford was not persuaded Zimmerman was not telling the whole truth, the lead detective certainly was not persuaded, the State Attorney very well might have prosecuted. So tell me what you think the definition of a cracker is. In Alabama and elsewhere in the South, it is a derogatory term for an indigenous white person, usually someone living in the country. In Georgia, it is both that and/or a term of affection for an indigenous white person – “a Georgia Cracker”. You are right about the affects of pot in the general population. In general I have seen most people become lazy and unmotivated. But I have seen people become very agitated and angry when they smoke it. As a doctor it is hard not to ascribe the same response to everyone based on statistical probability. It is hard to approach every case with innocent eyes. I do feel it would make more sense that the pot was not affecting him, thus his ability to react in a violent manner. But pot is mixed and changed so much today, it is hard to tell what else may be present. A doctor, you know someone who smokes pot once carries the chemical in the blood for close to a month. A doctor, you were reckless, or malicious, using Martin having traces of pot in his system to make him out to be a bad person. Hell, over half of Americans use pot regularly. Lots of medical doctors I have known used it. It isn’t anywhere close to as bad as as booze, other street drugs, or lots of what medical doctors’ prescribe. Zimmerman did stand down, he was returning to his vehicle, when approached and attacked. That’s Zimmerman’s story. It does not jive with the 911 transcript , where Zimmerman tells the 911 police dispatcher the suspect is running away and then says, “They always get away.” If Martin ran away, how was he following Zimmerman? Nor does Zimmerman’s account jive with the story told by Martin’s girlfriend, who was talking on her cell phone with Martin almost up to the end, according to what I saw reported. She was reported as saying Martin said someone was following him. When material facts in a criminal prosecution, or even in a civil case, are disputed, a jury decides what is what – unless something like a stand your ground law ursurps a jury even getting the case to consider. But, you are mistaken about having his gun drawn getting him into trouble. That’s your and Zimmerman’s story. If he feels in danger, he has every right to disuade an attack or be prepared for one by drawing his gun. Yeah, and it’s Zimmerman’s word against a dead man’s word about what happened. If Zimmerman has the gun drawn before Martin shows aggression, Zimmerman is the aggressor and Martin can use any means available to defend himself, including deadly force – under the stand your ground law, under the law before the stand our ground your law was passed. You are blind to any version of the facts but the version that agrees with you, because you are psychologically merged with Zimmerman, which makes it impossible for you to be objective about this case. Anglos is aderived from Angles a very specific Germanic tribe. That group doe not account for very much of the caucasian people. I used Anglos as plural for Anglo, which is slang for white people where I live. Yes, it derives from Anglo-Saxon, and from something earlier. You really are wound tight, Doctor. The word caucasian, which was adopted by the scientific community to mean white people is actually an incorrect term also. You are right about the Hawaiians use of the term haole. But they originally used it for any people that they felt were intruders. When caucasians became the controling group, it became the term for them. It further became one of those terms that can be used in either just a decriptive term or as a racial slur. I have no problem being called any derogitory term, because I have enough self worth to not let it bother me. Whites are not intruders, they are the winning side of a war. They took control by force. So, rape is not intrusion, huh? It’s just the result of losing a war. I don’t think I ever heard anything so absurd. King Kamehameha did the exact same thing to the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kuai, etc. He was a brutal murdering warrior, who wanted to rule all the islands. And I my mind I know that the Polynesians who first migrated to the islands, forced an indigenous population to subject to them. They mythisized them as the Minihuenes, but they were a real poplulation of micronesians. The last pocket were taken from Kuai by Spaniards, who promised them a better life – most likely in their South American gold mines (I know this is a very controversial theory). I do not follow your book, so I should be given a little more latitude in judging than you ( just kidding). You fucked up by saying Jesus told people it was okay to carry weapons to defend themselves. You followed that book. After that, I fed that book to you in spades, as your soul had invited me to do, knowing I would do it. Too bad medical training does not include soul instruction, because most medical troubles originate in the soul. My statements wound not sound as mean in person. It sounds like you do like to call it like you see it.You learned that when you read the article that incited you to attack me. I don’t have time, energy or patience to call it any way other than as I see it. If all people lived like that, there would be a lot fewer doctors, mental health professionals and ministers. I think anyone, who is trying their best to jerk us out of the money making scheme of racism, including all ethnicities, had a problem with the so-called leader of the country using that comparison. I did not know we would hit a solid block when I first posted. You hit solid rock bottom when you first posted a comment to goodmorningbirmingham.com. You are still there. America hit solid rock bottom during Vietnam, and it secured staying there when George W.A.R. Bush invaded Iraq. The final nail in the coffin was when Barack Obomber accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for waging two of Bush’s wars. As you stated earlier, in this case you a looking for a way that makes since to you. But you should only look at the evidence and say if that is possible, then we must go with it. I don’t know if they were angels. I have had visions and dreams that came true. I also assign that to angels, with which I have had thousands of experiences. Maybe they will start working with you when you are awake. If they do, it might leave you scratching your head about a lot of things you thought were cast in stone. Take care, and I hope your faith will keep the demons at bay, so you can wake up and say: It’s a beautiful day to be alive.” The angels, and doing what they give me to do in the way they tell me to do it, keep the demons somewhat away. They never are far away, though, because they really don’t care for what the angels assigned to me are about, and I am much easier for the demons to tweak, and worse, than are the angels. If the demons did not mess with me, if people did not attack me, I really would worry that I was messing up what I was given to engage. In this line of work, you don’t wake up thinking any day is a beautiful day to be alive. You wake up and get to work.

Once upon a time, I had a One Few Over the Cuckoo’s Nest experience because I told a real sho nuff Nurse Rachet about how I first met the angels and what they told me, and what they then did to me. Nurse Rachet had a twin-brother who was a psychiatrist, who was just as wound-tight. That, and how the angels finally rescued me from their clutches was the start of my field residency in psychiatry. Over the years, I treated a few psychiatrists, a few psychologists, a few clinical social workers, a few Jungian Analysts, a few psycholgical counselors, a few addiction counselors, a few ministers, a few natural and spiritual healers, and a few gurus. Maybe when I’m dead and gone, I will be able to look back over it with more appreciation than I now have.

the NRA gun worshipper George Zimmerman fan and I wrangle some more

This takes up where the a gun god disciple rushes into attack Trayvon Martin and me, and to defend George Zimmerman and the stand your ground law post left off, with this email to a National Rifle Association member who attacked me wearing a “diva” handle:

In my various life twists and turns, I have learned objectivity depends on what axe is being ground and on what facts are emerging.

I have learned it is risky to do what George Zimmerman did that night: try and convict someone without the facts. Look what happened to George after he did that.

I have learned it is risky to predict court case outcomes.

I have learned it is risky to predict anything, actually.

Sloan Bashinsky

The diva handle replied using a woman’s name over the same email address as before. My replies in italics.

===============================

That is what I have been trying to tell you. Look at what happened to Trayvon for judging and convicting George Zimmerman. Objectivity means looking at facts, not assumptions. Not all the facts will be known in most cases, so we are left with the ones that are. Amen, to that, Diva. We only have George Zimmerman’s word, hardly pristine by his own doing, that his gun was holstered when Martin assaulted him. Maybe Zimmerman had his gun out, waving it, and Martin figured he was dead if he did not attack Zimmerman. Zimmerman says in the reenactment video that he had the gun in a hip holster on the back side of his right hip. If Martin had Zimmerman down on his back, sitting astride his torso, knees pressed against Zimmerman’s sides, how does Zimmerman even get his hand on the pistol pinned under his own right hip? Am I saying that’s how it happened? No. I’m saying it could have happened that way. Were I sitting on the jury, that scenario certainly would occur to me. Were I sitting on the jury and I felt Zimmerman was not telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, I would convict him. I imagine if the case goes to the jury, the judge will instruct the jury along the line: “If you believe from the evidence that has been presented that any witness has testified falsely as to a material fact, then you can choose to disbelieve all of that witness’ testimony. You should not fall victim the the irrational, emotional rants of the anti-gun crowd. From the very beginning they set out to paint one as the innocent, child-like victim, while painting the other as a racist, over zealous, want-a-be cop. That was very intentional, and very calculated. You, along with many others have fallen for it, just as you do for any stance that fits your emotional comfort. You should stop making ASS-U-ME-S about me. Read all the posts I wrote about this terrible situation. Read what I did to the news media and to the Special Prosecutor and to the Justice for Trayvonites for publishing those years earlier photos of Trayvon, to snooker the public into believing that was the sweet little boy George Zimmerman shot in cold blood. There is no such thing as a gun god. Guns are a very dangerous, but very useful piece of equipment. They are to be respected and handled with care. They are not to be worshiped. They are to be used as a last resort to save good lives from those whom have decided that another person’s life, health or happiness is not as important as their own self-centered needs. Your god is whatever you worship – money, sex, power, deceit, your reflection in the mirror, guns, God, whatever. Jesus said it this way: “You cannot worship God and mammon, you cannot worship two masters, etc. You can keep pandering to your “anti-gun, anti-establishment” deciples, or you can actually do some research, that is up to you. You can continue to paint everyone who disagrees with you in a negative light. What disciples? Over the years, I learned in a school of very hard knocks (research) that the establishment nearly always is wrong. I was greatly helped in arriving at that understanding by pondering Jesus in the Gospels, and his dealings with the establishment, which he viewed in a negative light. As did they view him in a negative light. If you want to believe that Trayvon was a innocent 12 year old child skipping merrily home, and the big bad wolf hunted him down, that is your right. But you should not keep lying about the incident. If you have any integrety, you should present facts. It is sad that you justify your opinion by stating that objectivity changes with which way the wind blows. It does not. True Objectivity stays its course.

I have lied about nothing in this case, Diva. I have called every shot as I saw it, based on evidence that was or later became available, based on my experience, based on application of common sense instead of knee-jerk reactions which have been rampant in the Martin camp and in the Zimmerman camp. I did not say objectivity changes as the wind blows. I said objectivity changes with facts coming forward and is influenced by whichever axes are being ground. Axes are being ground by both the Zimmerman camp and the Martin camp.
I will stand by my opinion of Trayvon Martin, based on the few facts that have been presented. I will stand by by opinion of you, based on your “axe to grind objectivity”. I am glad I struck a nerve. Perhaps it is a beginning.
The nerve you struck in me was pretending you knew Jesus of Nazareth. If you knew Jesus of Nazareth, for damn sure you would not belong to the National Rifle Association. For damn sure you would not defend the stand your ground law. For damn sure you would not take sides in this tragedy. You have no objectivity; your vision is colored entirely by your gun worship. Get rid of your guns, Diva; rely solely on God to look after you, and see how that sits with you. That’s what Jesus did. That’s what Stephen, Peter and Paul did. Maybe that’s why you are not willing to follow suit? You don’t like how that approach turned out for them?

Meanwhile, perhaps others might read our discussion and learn something from it.

The woman replied:

Sloan, I see why you cannot be objective. You quote Jeasus as if you have objective proof of his existance. You quoted Jesus to justify bearing arms. Now you challenge his existence. Are you an idiot? Do you have any clue what you have done to yourself? I am a man of peace. You came out from behind your mother’s, or your wife’s, skirt. A man of peace would not have written this: “In parting I would like to give the author insomnia by stating there are other Gun advocate groups, including Grannies with guns, working hard for everyone to have the right to defend themselves against the Trayvons of the world.” You never met Trayvon. You never knew him. How can you say you know him? You can’t. I am a man who believes there is a supreme being, god if you will. But I aknowledge that it is a belief without any objective proof. I have objective proof God exists; tons of it, but you could not see it. I have researched and read as much as I could about Jesus. There is no proof outside the “book” that he ever existed. There are many old texts the Rome Church did not recognize, still does not recognize, which spoke of first hand experiences with Jesus. You have not done much research, if you missed that. That being said, the principles that he is given credit for are good principles. If everyone followed the basic principle of “Treat others as you would have them treat you”, this world would be a better place. Unfortunately reality is not that way. That is why there is a need to be able to defend oneself. It was the same in Jesus’ day. The Jews were married to an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth, and Jesus told them to let go of that and to turn the other cheek and to pray for and do good to those who mistreated them. Those who claimed to follow Jesus were required to follow his advice, or renounce him in not following his advice. How many of those Grannies With Guns are Christians who do not follow Jesus’ advice? And since all men are not created physically equal, man has developed ways to level the playing field against stronger threats. It was the same in Jesus’ day. It was the same before his day. It will be the same after you and I are gone from this life, if humanity remains. I did qualify my opinion of you by stating it was based on the limited reading from you. If you truely believe the establishment is usually wrong, then you must know that it is really the establishment that is campaining to dis-arm private citizens. It is not a left wing or a right wing issue. It is the elite money powers against the common people. The various groups that represent the common man in his quest to protect his right to keep arms for self defence are made of republicans, democrats, libitarians, christians, jews, muslums, women, men, gays, hetero’s, etc. The majority of donations to the NRA actually comes from democrat members. No one I have met in these groups worship guns. They actually worship the gift given to them by god – their life and their health. They have choosen to take the responsibility to protect that gift. The rhetoric of these groups sure sounds to me like gun worship. You sound like you worship guns. It’s the right wing that bothers me. I don’t care for the Democrats, either, but I don’t see them behaving like white supremacists or the New Black Panthers. I have not, to my recollection, ever advocated abolishment of the right to bear arms. I was repulsed by the Waco massacre. Repulsed by Janet Remo and her Gestapo. I used to keep a .38 Smith & Wesson revolver loaded with hollow points and a 12 guage Ithaca pump loaded with buckshot shells in my home. I don’t do that now. Death is the least of my worries now. I would love to be shot and killed, and be freed of having Jesus and angels in his circle riding hard herd on me 24-7, 365, year after year.I hope this Zimmerman case will center on the facts around the shooting, and not on things that occured afterwards. You also should hope the case does not center on things that happened before Zimmerman started following Martin. Martin had nothing to do with what happened afterward, because he was dead. Zimmerman a lot to do with what happened afterward, because he proved he was a criminal at the first bond hearing, although it was a while before that was generally known. You question many things and then interject your opinion on whether it could happen that way. I have not read the complete transcript, - – In which case, you should not have opened your mouth about this case. You should have read the entire transcript and you should have viewed the two videos, one taken when Zimmerman was polygraphed, one when he went to the scene with the police and reenacted the event – but if you try placing a gun in the position that you state and see if it is possible, then maybe you can come to a some what more scientific conclusion – objectivity. Believe me or not, it is not only possible, it is likely (I have practiced it, even though I usually carry in front of the hip). Remember, that strong side holster behind the hip is not the small of the back. The holster sits just behind the point of the hip – it will actually be visible if the jacket is opened- almost a side holster. In the video reenactment, Zimmerman touched himself to show where the hip holster was. If it happened as Zimmerman said it happened, the holster and the pistol were pinned, as I described earlier today. Perhaps Zimmerman was able to get the pistol out of the holster, but it would not have been easy. If you recall, he also said that Martin saw his gun and went for it. That means that it was visible and could be removed. I know very well what Zimmerman said, because I did my due diligence. I know Zimmerman is the only eye witness. I know the lead detective of the Sanford police department was reported as saying he did not believe Zimmerman told it all and he wanted Zimmerman booked for manslaughter. The lead white detective. I know Zimmerman had his wife lie to the judge at the bond hearing, and that they had planned it. So I know Zimmerman is capable about lying about what happened the night he shot Martin. I’m being very objective. Cold objective. Dispassioned objective. Ruthless objective.I applaud you if you rebuked the media and the “Travonites” very few did. You are mistaken. There was a great deal of online rebuke of the media for using the young, sweet photo of Martin. I published the attached photo several times and said, if the Special Prosecutor put that nice sweet photo into evidence, then the Defense would get the not sweet photo into evidence.

I still say objectivity does not change. Objectivity is static, it is not ruled by emotions or beliefs, but is ruled by facts. As facts come out, objective perspective changes. Your perspective is static and is ruled by your NAR perspective and by a woeful ignorance from not having examined the evidence which is available, which influenced your non-objective determination that Zimmerman was innocent and Martin deserved what he got. You cite your right to bear arms but ignore unarmed Martin’s right to defend himself from someone trailing him in the nighttime who was visibly armed. There is one very important point that everyone should understand. Scientific studies show that the most accurate accounts of an event are those closest in time to the event. The more time that elapses, the less accurate the memory is. Further studies show that every time an event is recounted and retold, the memory of the event changes. This tells me that the account given by Zimmerman, and the eye whitnesses immediately following the event are the most accurate. By having witnesses re-tell events over and over, under the influence of others (procecution), the memories are molded to give a version that the procecution wants. So we really have to take the information from as close to the event as possible to have any valuble facts. I have not heard much about the evidence from the Special Prosecutor, and I don’t expect to hear much from her until the stand your ground law hearing. What I have heard was the verbatim transcript of the 911 call, which you have not read. What I have heard are the two video recordings starring Zimmerman, which I don’t get that you viewed. How do you know what Zimmerman said, or what he showed the police he did, if you have not done a due diligent investigation? How can you even speak to this case at this juncture, if you have not done a due diligence investigation?

You based some of your remarks on common sense and experience. I do not discount that. Someone said “Common sense is not so common”. That being said, my common sense tells me that a man who volunteers his time to patrol his neighborhood to keep his community a safer place is a good man. The fact that he has been doing it for some time and has never waived his gun around or “stalked” anyone tells me he is doing a pretty good job. The fact that he called 911, instead of “John Wayneing it” tells me he was a concerned citizen, not an over zealous gun slinger. The fact that he surrendered to the police twice tells me he is not going anywhere, and that he believes in the justice system. Not having done due diligence, you do not know that it was reported: Zimmerman had made lots and lots of 911 calls about people he had seen in his neighborhood; he was well known to the Sanford PD; finally, they told him to call on another number than 911, unless it was a crime in progress he was observing; he called them that night on 911, instead of the other number he had been given; he clearly reveals in the transcript that he thinks Martin is messed up, or up to no good; later he says, after Martin ran, “They all [always] get away;” Zimmerman had tried and convicted Martin before even speaking with him; he kept following Martin after being told by the police dispatcher to stand down. That is how NRA teaches its members to behave? This is why you, who know very little about this case, I now know out of your own mouth, rushed into to attack me and defend Zimmerman, your NRA member right or wrong? You are not representing NRA very well. As for experience, everyone comes out differently in response to experiences. I don’t know where you were raised. I was raised in a well mixed working class area of S. Ca., filled with good people, a few bad people, and gangs. I was hit with a tire iron once, and threatened once or twice. These were unprovoked instances. Then I moved to Hawaii, the land of Aloha… ha… ha. There is even more of a drug problem and violence problem there than where I arrived from. After being threatened, and hearing gun shots next door. I decided to take the bull by the horns. I was successful in getting the thug next door evicted. My friend convinced me to buy my first gun for protection. The police are not there in a crisis situation. So you see, I have lived around the Martins. I know his type, and I know how he thinks. I live around hundreds of Zimmermans. I know because I took the Sheriff sponsored CCW class and I saw all the people taking it. I can tell you from my personal experience, I would live in Zimmerman neighborhoods any day. I don’t want to live in a Martin neighborhood. The girlfriend of Trayvon Martin’s father lived in the same condo community in which Zimmerman lived; Trayon was staying there with is father and the girlfriend. You sure you would live in Zimmerman’s neighborhood? That is why I chose to leave Hawaii, even though I have many good friends there. They have lots of Trayvon Martins in Hawaii – young, black African-Americans? I have spent time on four different Hawaiian Islands. I lived on Maui 6 months. I saw very few African-Americans. I saw lots of Hawaiians, Polynesians, Asians and Anglos. I never felt right being there; as if I were trespassing, an ungly Anglo American who ought to go home. Now I live in the safest community I have ever been in. That does not mean that one bad apple can’t try to upset the cart. I train everyone to be the safest and most proficient handgun shooter there can be. I train people how to spot and avoid trouble if possible. And I train them how to respond if the trouble cannot be avoided. I have experience on this end of the spectrum, so of course I see things differently than you.

Looks to me you now have revealed you are a white supremacist, guilty of racial profiling. I was raised in Birmingham, Alabama. I know lots of older Trayvon Martins. When I am back in Birmingham, I seek them out in a black section of Birmingham, because some of them are very good chess players and I like playing and cutting up with them, and eating in the soul food restaurant on the corner, which is across the street from 6th Avenue Baptist Church, which white supremacists bombed during the Civil Rights Movement, killing innocent black men, women and children. Across the street from that church, in which I have eaten meals in its basement on special occasions, is the Civil Rights park, a memorial to white Birmingham Police officers using water canons and fire hoses and billy sticks and police dogs on black people peacefully demonstrating for equal rights with whites. I often am the only white person with the black chess players, who seem to like seeing me come around, although whites frequent the restaurant and the park. If you want to learn a bit about my real mother, go to goodmorningbirmigham.com and open the A Few Remarkable (Birmingham) People I Have Known page in the right-hand menu, and read the second portrait: “She Works Behind the Scenes.” Read about the holiest person I ever knew in this life. You will see how she cured me of being a racist. You might find some of the other portraits interesting, too.

Gee Sloan,

Again you try to sound reasonable, but then lash out with insults and accusations. I am stating that there is no evidence outside of Judeo-Christain writings that can verify his existance. You cannot deny that. It is a fact. Actually, Jesus’ existence has been verified to me thousands of times. I did not know Trayvon personally. The picture you posted, plus his violent encounter with the bus driver give me an indication that he has poor impules control at the very least. You never met George. You do not know him. He has made some stupid mistakes after being hounded, threatened by the NBP, and persecuted by the press. Actually, didn’t Zimmerman get charged with assault and battery against a police officer? You seem to think that having the ability to defend yourself equates to being violent. It does not. Violence is in the heart, and sometimes, or often, it makes its way into the physical. I do not even know what you mean by the skirt comment. Is your name Elaine Bowles, are you the quiltndiva? – diva is a female appellation/character/personalilty. I don’t know why you think you getting insomnia would be a violent act by me. Don’t be disingenuous. Here again is what you wrote: “In parting I would like to give the author insomnia by stating there are other Gun advocate groups, including Grannies with guns, working hard for everyone to have the right to defend themselves against the Trayvons of the world.” No man of peace would have written about Travyon the way you wrote about him using Grannies with guns as your proxy. No man of peace would have come at me the way you started out with me. Your crack about giving me insominia was not in play for me. You do not have any tangible proof that god exists. That is fine. I believe in god. I just admit it is based on faith, not fact. I have tons of tangible proof that God exists, except it can only be seen by people who have eyes that see and ears that hear, which is the way it always has been. Because of those tons of proof, actual experiences I had, physically, emotionally, spiritually, awake and in sleep, I no longer believe because I know God exists. As long as you include groups like Pro-lifers who kill people in the name of saving life as Right wingers, I am OK with that. I oppose most abortions because I know most women suffer great spiritual injury by having an abortion, and men who are in on the abortion happening do, as well. The white suprimasts are such a joke. They are so insignificant in this country. You are gravely mistaken about the white supremacists being a joke. The black supremacists are no joke, either. The remark about loving to be shot is very close to suicide, a big no no in your belief. I personally think it disrespects the god that gave you this gift of life on earth. You should have Jesus, Archangel Michael and Melchizedek, and others in their circle they let have at me, ride hard herd on you for 25 years, then preach to me about my sentiments about waking up each morning.
But then, it may not be a gift for some. I have seen and heard everything your are talking about. I am not sure if it was edited. This has nothing to do with the NRA. It has everything to do with the NRA. The NRA got the Florida stand your ground law passed. But for that law, Zimmerman would have been arrested right away and charged. I doubt you have ever read any of the NRA material. They use FBI stats, Gallop polls and othe impartial sources to support thier position. Their langauge is a bit out dated and extreme sounding, but the facts support their cause. They only sound cultist to people on the other side – the anti-gun cult. Cults come in all sorts of shapes, tones. Christianity is a cult. The NRA is a cult. The New Black Panthers are a cult. The Republican Party is a cult. The Democratic Party is a cult. I deal with cults ongoing. You are not defending yourself, when you attack someone. You yourself belive Zimmerman, when he says Trayvon was on top of him with his knees pinned to George’s sides. Yet you don’t believe him when he says he got his gun out. I am not convinced Zimmerman did not already have his gun out. You feel free to pick and choose whick statements you believe. Do you think that making a lot of 911 calls qualifies him as a stalker, a gun slinger, a killer? Since there had been many break-ins in the neighborhood, perhaps he was trying to draw attention to a situation, before it happened. Again, he was calling the police, not taking matters into his own hands. Zimmerman took matters into his own hands when he did not stand down after being told by the police dispatcher to stand down. I do not know anthing more than what was reported on the Martin incident. Based on that information, it looks like self defence to me. I often have written how self-defense could be argued – if Zimmerman did not have his gun drawn and that provoked Martin to attack him. I have been pounded by Martin lovers for writing how it could have been self defense. One of whom was my best friend down here in the Keys. A white woman who had profiled Zimmerman the same way you profiled Martin – a no account mean-spirited hood. You really should read everything I posted about this malaise. You might be astounded how objective I have been about this case. Zimmerman said he looked messed up. Well, they found pot in his blood. Again, you are being disingenuous, or you are really ignorant. The trace of pot in Martin’s blood was tiny, indicating he was not currently using. Pot is sedating, it really mellows you out, it does not promote aggression, but instead promotes just the opposite, including giggling, lovey feelings and sleepiness. I know this for a fact, having used it plenty myself in another era of my long and weird life, and having had many friends and relatives who used it. Zimmerman said it looked like he was up to no good. Well, that was his judgement. It is either true, or a mis-judgement. It doe not mean that George was a bad person for stating it. I believe everyone has the right to defend themselves. Someone trailing you is not an immediate danger, and would not justify Martin’s attack on Zimmerman (again you throw in visibly armed with no proof, just to make Zimmerman look bad). I throw nothing. I look for what provoked Martin to attack and try to kill Zimmerman. The only thing that makes sense to me is Zimmerman had his gun drawn and Martin figured he was going to die if he did not kill Zimmerman. I learned practicing law not to believe anything my clients told me about their cases. I learned that the hard way. Of course Zimmerman says he had his gun holstered and Martin made an unprovoked attack. If Zimmerman said he had his gun drawn, he would be up the biggest shit creek ever. Did he have his gun drawn? Did he have it holstered? Those are questions the judge should ask himself during the stand your ground law hearing, and if the case goes to the jury, those are questions every juror should ask him/herself. Everyone I have talked to say Martin would be very stupid to turn around and attack a man with a visible gun. I certainly would not attack a man with a gun drawn on me, but I am not Martin. I was not there. I do not know what really passed between Martin and Zimmerman, nor do you know. I do know, the way Zimmerman described how it came down, he would have had a tough time drawing his pistol pinned to the ground by his hip and Martin astride his torso. I do not know the girlfriend, so I cannot comment. But I have not heard any of the neighbors, including the black neighbor who supports Zimmerman, complain about the girlfriend, so I would think she is a good member of the community. Well I guess you can’t comprehend that a Trayvon type has nothing to do with ethnicity or race. Okay, perhaps my bad. It is about attitude and actions. Why do you keep bringing up the NRA. They have not been in the picture on this case. Why do you keep denying the NRA had nothing to do with this case, when the NRA got the stand your ground law passed in Florida? You are right, there are not many black Americans – that is the term they prefer, not African Americans, in Hawaii. The funny thing is, that is where I met one of my best friends, who coincidentally is gay and black. They are mostly around the military bases. Hawaiians are poynesians. By Anglos, a very specic group of caucasians ( using the scientific classification ), I guess you mean white people. By any classifcation, Anglos mean white people. Hawaiians call white people “haoles”, which means people with no spirit. It is sad, but there is a group of Hawaiians who do view whites are intruders. Whites are intruders in Hawaii. That’s a fact. The history of the islands is complicated, but I can’t say I totally disagree. But, just as everywhere on earth, there is the major group that has mixed and become an interwoven culture, based on locale more than ethnicity. Be careful, Sloan. there goes that judgemental temperment of yours again. Remember – judge not according to your guide book. Re-read your opening blast to me, to see who has a judgmental temperment. Just for your further education: my circle of closest friends: John Pen(y) a (Tex-Mex American), Eric Salinas (chicano), Mark Batungbacal (Phillipino American ), Lenny Laigo ( Phillipino/indian American), Ed Gonzales ( Mexican here legally), Mike Casey ( Scotish American), Kevin Elzia ( black American who is adamently against private gun ownership). So tell me, am I a racist cracker? You are a NRA cracker. Sorry I probably used the term cracker in the proper way – one which you are not familiar with. Think again. Am I a white supremist? Well, maybe I like hanging around with these people to make myself feel superior (sarcasm incase you didn’t get it). If I tell you my wife is Jewish, will that let me off the hook. (Her family lineage traces back to the Levi tribe). If I tell you my great grandmother is FBI ( full blooded Indian) – just kidding, relax – she is 100% Cherokee ethnically, and 100% American culturally, will that get you off this judgemental attack that has nothing to do with the Zimmerman case? I’m glad to hear you say, and demonstrate, you are not a white supremacist. And boy Sloan, I would be stressed out trying to pick a side based on Racism: Let’s see do I go with the ebo, or the spic ( again I know you don’t recognize sarcasm, but that is what it is). Same problem I had with President Obama, who is half white, identifying Trayvon Martin being his own son, and not George Zimmerman, who is half white. No sarcasm. I don’t know how we digressed so far from the case, but oh well. Now I am going to youtube and listen to some good old white supremist music (just kidding). I know we are at an empass in our philosophies. You knew that when you first wrote to me, and I knew that when I read what you first wrote. Thank you for conversing with this crazy caucazoid (mispelled on purpose) It’s been fun. I really am going to go to another subject – like Rufus chicken pickin’ licks (you won’t get that one). Nope, can’t say I ever heard that one before. But then, you never had any dealings with angels that I can tell from all you have written.

George Zimmerman case takes bizarre turn

Received this yesterday from Nashville J, who a while back became one of the angels’ instigators of my continuing to write into this truly horrible situation. Horrible for Trayvon Martin and his family; horrilble for George Zimmerman and his family; horrible for America.

Sloan:

I don’t think there is anyway that the Judge will rule in Zimmerman’s favor but it appears there will be a stand your ground hearing. The Judge is already pissed that Zimmerman has asked to have him removed twice and because of the lying in the bail hearing.

‘Stand Your Ground’ hearing could potentially clear Zimmerman in Trayvon Martin shooting

George Zimmerman, accused in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, could be cleared of a second-degree murder charge if a judge rules in his favor in a new “Stand Your Ground” hearing.
Zimmerman’s defense attorney Mark O’Mara announced on his website Thursday that there will be a “Stand Your Ground” hearing based on his client’s claim he shot the unarmed teen in self-defense. A finding in Zimmerman’s favor would end the criminal case against him, as well as immunizing him from civil action.
“Now that the State has released the majority of their discovery, the defense asserts that there is clear support for a strong claim of self-defense. Consistent with this claim of self-defense, there will be a ‘Stand Your Ground’ hearing,” said O’Mara in a statement.
The law allows people to use deadly force, rather than retreat, if they believe their lives are in danger.
O’Mara described the hearing as a “mini-trial,” with arguments, witnesses, experts and evidence that would be included in a criminal trial, but without a jury.
Zimmerman, 28, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. He is free on $1 million bond as he awaits trial. Zimmerman wasn’t charged until 44 days after Martin’s death, and in those weeks protesters accused the Sanford police department of being racist and botching the investigation.

I replied:

If I wuz this judge, given all that has preceeded this hearing, which reflects on Zimmerman’s credibility and motives, I just might be inclined to be skeptical of Zimmerman’s rendition of what happened after he made the 911 call, and decline to rule in his favor on the stand-your-ground-law defense, and let a jury of his peers decide his fate. Might be reversable error, though, as an entirely different case.

However, with the other eye witness shot dead even by Zimmerman’s account, I would just naturally wonder in any event if Zimmerman was telling it all, brother, so to speak; and I would be looking at that 911 call transcript, and at the diagram of where the shooting occurred and where Zimmerman’s car was parked; and I would ponder the two videos taken later, starring Zimmerman; and I imagine I might express some natural doubts about what all Zimmerman said about what went down, and not mention anything about his bail hearings when I rule against his stand your ground law defense.

I am not aware of anything this judge has done that would make his refusal to recuse himself reversible error, given the same argument could have been made against any judge who had made the same rulings re bond and revocation of bond and setting new bond, especially in view of Zimmerman’s having misled the Court and gotten his wife to perjure herself during a bond hearing.

The more I see of this case, the less sympathy I have for Zimmerman, which started out with low sympathy.

Darn glad I ain’t this judge, however he rules.

Got something else rumbling on this situation at gooodmorningbirmingham.com, in the comments section, starting this morning – love note from a NAR Christianite. Was wondering if anything else was coming to add to it? Should have figured I could count on you :-) .

Sloan

Then, after viewing the comment from the NAR Christiante and my reply to that (click on this link to see that: a gun god disciple rushes in to attack Trayvon Martin and me, and to defend George Zimmerman and the stand your ground law ), and after saying he was going to just keep his head down until the trial was over, J proved he can’t be trusted by sending me this:

hot off the press:

Zimmerman Prosecutors In Huge Screw-Up

Photo of dead Trayvon Martin, college docs mistakenly released

AUGUST 9–In an embarrassing screw-up, Florida prosecutors today accidentally distributed a post-mortem photo of Trayvon Martin as well as copies of George Zimmerman’s college records, material that Florida law considers confidential and exempt from disclosure.
The documents were inadvertently included in supplemental discovery records distributed this morning by prosecutor Angela Corey’s office. The material was sent to a variety of media outlets, including TSG, that have paid fees to receive discovery provided by the government to Zimmerman’s lawyer.
The photocopied picture of Martin was one of three taken by an unnamed witness. The photo mistakenly released by Corey is a black and white copy of an image depicting the teenager lying face down on a lawn.
After distributing the picture, a Corey aide sent an e-mail to reporters noting that a “photo depicting the killing of a person” was “confidential and exempt” pursuant to state law.
Zimmerman’s Seminole State College of Florida records–61 pages in total–include his original application to the community college and his class transcripts. The documents detailed Zimmerman’s poor grades, which landed him on academic probation last year.
Zimmerman, who was studying for an associate degree in criminal justice, did not graduate last year due to a failed class. Following the February 26 shooting of the unarmed Martin, Zimmerman “was issued administrative withdrawals” for three classes in the Spring 2012 term “with no fees charged against his account.” (3 page)I replield to J:YIKES!!!

I never did care for this Special Prosecutor, praying with the Martin family was the first GIANT RED FLAG. Now she has gone and done another unthinkable. I bet the criminal lawyers I know would be filing a motion to dismiss all charges due to prosecutorial misbehavior making it impossible for Zimmerman to get a fair trial anywhere in America.

I came out a nap dream before you wrote to me today, thinking a lot more was coming in today re the Martin-Zimmerman case.

I feel even more sorry for the Judge now. Wouldn’t surprise me if he removed the Special Prosecutor from the case and granted a defense motion to dismiss all charges.

What a spectacle.

a gun god disciple rushes in to attack Trayvon Martin and me, and to defend George Zimmerman and the stand your ground law

On August 9, 2012, received this comment on the April 18, 2012 NRA on trial – Trayvon Martin shooting post at goodmorningbirminngham.com:

This is the most absurd article I have ever read. The author claims objectivity. Yet there is no evidence that he understands the law : the fact that it does not apply in the Trayvon Martin case. It exaults retreating from criminals, giving them the upper hand, the benefit of being able to persue a victim unfettered. The author, like so many, wants to be the judge of exactly when a person can decide to defend themselves against a threat. Should it be when the assailant punches them? No, according to the author. Should it be when one has been cornered and the assailant is on top of them, as in the Geroge Zimmerman case? Should it be when the victim has been minorly injured – no says the author. All of this happening in seconds, and the victim must time it so that he defends himself just before he is critically injured or rendered unconscious. The proper course for society to take is to educate their children that there are consequences to physically attacking another person. They should be educated that being followed, questioned, or even called names does not justify hitting or attacking anyone. What George Zimmerman did was not a crime. The stand your ground law is a great law. It puts the responsibility where it belongs – on those who think they can use violence to solve their problems. The author thinks it is OK to defend oneself in his home, but not on the street in his real castle – his body. The author states that Jesus was not armed, but Jesus did advocate carrying two swords to defend oneself. The author states there is no feminine energy in the NRA, yet the NRA if full of females. The NRA is a diverse group of Americans, who realize that their well being is best placed in their own hands. They are the most law abiding citizens of this country, and they are the most responsible members of the community. In parting I would like to give the author insomnia by stating there are other Gun advocate groups, including Grannies with guns, working hard for everyone to have the right to defend themselves against the Trayvon’s of the world.

I replied:

I have written around twenty “editorials” on the Trayvon Martin-Martin Zimmerman case. I have slammed President Obama, Attorney General Holden, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the New Black Panthers and the Special Prosecutor for stirring up racial hatred and violence, as much as I have slammed the NRA, the KKK, the Neo Nazis and George Zimmerman and his backers., for stirring up the right to bear and discharge arms. I have not been kind to Trayvon Martin, either.

However, it does not appear Martin was doing anything wrong that night, and it is clear in the 911 transcript that Zimmerman had tried and convicted Martin from simply observing him from a distance. It is clear in the 911 transcript that Zimmerman was told by a police dispatcher to stand down, and it seems Zimmerman did not do that, but continued to follow Martin.

What happened after that will be up to the Judge and Jury to determine.

God help them, because no matter what they finally decide, all hell is likely to break loose.

If Zimmerman is acquitted, white Americans anywhere in America might be at grave risk.

If Zimmerman is convicted, the NRA, KKK and Neo Nazis will become even more extreme than they already are. Oklahoma City-replica bombings and Denver-ish shooting sprees might become regular evening TV news.

There is no good outcome for the Martin-Zimmerman case, which I seriously doubt ever would have happened if Florida had not passed a stand-your-ground law, which was the NRA’s beloved spawn.

As you sow, you reap, Jesus told his disciples. He meant karma, a spiritual consequence to what you do.

On Jesus telling his disciples to carry “two swords”, I found some discussion of that passage online. Here is one discussion.

==============================

The following was excerpted from Shane Claiborne and Chris Haw’s book, Jesus for President–from their online “Appendix 3: Subordination and Revolution: What about Romans 13?” which can be downloaded in its entirety from the JesusForPresident website or by clicking here.

————————————————

Luke 22:35-38,
Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?”
“Nothing,” they answered.
He said to them, “But now if you have a purse take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell our cloak and buy one. It is written: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors’; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment.”
The disciples said, “See, Lord, here are two swords.”
“That is enough,” he replied.

This is part of a larger conversation about power at the last supper. Jesus’ disciples had apparently been unable to understand the meaning of his discussions on suffering and nonviolence. Over the course of this dinner conversation, Jesus had been trying to tell them that the kingdoms of this world wield power and demand service, but his kingdom was about serving others and self-sacrifice. As in many cases where Jesus would draw out props to make a point (e.g. the coin in the fish’s mouth), Jesus here needs to draw out a dangerous prop: the sword.
To prove his point, Jesus helps his disciples remember that they don’t need anything—which they acknowledge. With that in mind, he will help them understand that they also do not need a sword.
Very explicitly, Jesus equates the carrying of a sword with being a “transgressor.” This phrase references the beautiful passage of Isaiah 53 on how God’s glory is best known through humiliation and suffering and not apparent strength or majesty. To teach one of his most radical lessons on nonviolence, Jesus will incur the embarrassing reputation of going down with terrorists and insurgents, and not the potentially meaningful status of a blameless martyr. “He will be numbered with the transgressors.” Jesus even stripped his self of the ennobling innocent appearance of nonviolence. While he could go down with his unblemished personal character intact, to teach a lesson he will risk the misguided and violent wills of his disciples marring his reputation. (His final healing miracle will then be to clean up after the mess of his disciples’ violence by healing an arrestor’s ear.) This makes radical, counter-intuitive claims about the very nature of God and even what we mean by the word “God.” Is not humiliation and suffering the very opposite of God? Now he will appear before court as being one of the insurgent terrorists who cut people’s ears off*.
If calling the sword the transgressor’s tool is not obvious enough, the outcome of the lesson is unequivocally clear. The very next scene is in Gethsemane where the disciple will use those swords. His disciples ask, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?” As one disciple strikes an arrestor, Jesus yells, “No more of this!” and heals the wound. This is the commonly known time when Jesus also states, (in other gospels) “put your sword away,” and “those who live by the sword die by the sword.” After healing his arrestor, Luke’s gospel shows Jesus punctuating this lesson of nonviolence with a question, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs? Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour—when darkness reigns” (Luke 22:53).

Nowhere in all of the New Testament is a disciple of Jesus found carrying a sword again.

========================

When the disciple Stephen was stoned, he did not defend himself.

When Paul was arrested for being a Christian, he did not defend himself. He said he was a Roman citizen and wanted to be tried by Caesar in Rome.

When Christians were arrested for being Christians and taken to trial and crucified, they did not defend themselves.

When Christians were tried and thrown into prisons and taken to the coliseum to be devoured by lions, they did not defend themselves.

Apparently NRA Christians feel they are different from Christians who knew Jesus, or who knew Christians who knew him. Not to pick on NRA Christians, most Christians today are different from Christians who knew Jesus, or who knew Christians who knew him.

I was told several years ago in my sleep that Christendom is the Anti-Christ because it claims salvation through Jesus but does not do what he said to do.

The Holy Spirit is the Holy Female Essence. All human children are born with the Holy Female Essence in them, be they male or be they female.

Alas, by the time most human beings are of legal age, male and female alike, they have lost most, if not, all of their Holy Female Essence and are essentially spiritually male. This is the result of child-rearing, teaching and religious methods which destroy the female essence in a human beings’ soul.

Absence of the female essence in human beings is the cause of all war, including all man-made war.

Absence of the female essence is the cause of nearly all human troubles: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

The NRA is pure male essence. It is, as I wrote in the NRA on trial – Trayvon Martin shooting post, devoid of the female essence.

Even if the NRA had only women for members, if the NRA behaved as it has behaved for decades and behaves today, it would be devoid of the female essence.

Look at any gun. Is it not a phallic symbol?

Look at the National Rifle Association emblem. Do you see any female imagery there?

Pure testosterone, the National Rifle Association, no different from Saul of Tarsus, the persecutor and killer of Christians before he was apprehended by Jesus from the spirit on the Road to Damascus.

Some time after that, Saul emerged reborn as Paul, who eventually went to Rome willingly, and, according to the Roman Catholic Church, eventually was beheaded because he would not renounce Jesus. Beheading was the Roman form of capital punishment for its citizens. Beheading by sword.

The Rome Church says Peter also was killed by the Romans, in Rome. But he was killed by crucifixion because he was not a Roman citizen.

As I heard the story told, at the behest of friends, Peter was leaving Rome to avoid being apprehended and crucified, but on his way out of the city, Jesus came to him in a vision, blocking his way. So Peter returned to Rome and was apprehended. He asked to be crucified upside down because he was not worthy to be crucified right side up as Jesus was crucified. So Peter was crucified upside down.

Peter, who had cut off the soldier’s ear, and Jesus had told Peter to put away his sword as he replaced the soldier’s ear and healed it.

If Jesus were to return today and identify himself and start making waves like he did 2000 years ago, the NRA would kill him outright, if they could not get Uncle Sam to do it.

Next day post-script:

Your and my dialogue went up as a new post yesterday at goodmorningbirmingham.com: a gun god disciple rushes in to attack Trayvon Martin and me, and to defend George Zimmerman and the standyour ground law

A later post on Zimmerman’s case went up this morning: George Zimmerman case takes bizarre turn

I have learned it is risky to predict anything, actually.

party bridge, sociopaths, political quizes …

Played party bridge with the Marathon ladies again yesterday.

One of them told the other two I’d called them “older women” on my blog.

I said I had called myself an older man.

One asked me how old I am?

I said 70 in October. That made me older than one, I think, younger than the other two.

I said what I wrote about that was related to my having been called a sociopath, and there I was playing party bridge with three older women. They remembered the part about my being called a sociopath.

One asked, isn’t a sociopath someone who can’t feel anything?

I said no empathy, they only think about themselves.

One said I am not a sociopath, but leave off the older women stuff. Women will do.

I said I am a sociopath when it comes to politicians and liars.

One said that’s not sociopath, that’s normal.

I said I might write about the party bridge women again.

One said women is good.

The one who said it’s normal not to like politicians and liars said she always got along well with Libras. She said she was Scorpio.

But throughout the afternoon, she kept reminding us which side was vulnerable, and which side was not vulnerable, when it came to scoring.

I kept saying I’m always vulnerable when I’m surrounded by women.

For a fact, I know women invented they are the weaker sex. Seven wives and a few girlfriends proved it.

Later yesterday I received a link from a right-wing acquaintance in Birmingham, with this statement:

“gosh I hope I don’t accidentally discover that I’m actually Kenyan or Muslim, cause some fools might elect me to sumptin!!”

I replied, “After they let you out of intensive care.”

I get lots of racist forwards from him. If he woke up one day and realized he was Kenyan or Muslim, he would go insane in a nano-second.

Even so, I took the political quiz at this link, and marked “Agree” on the first seven, and “Disagree” on the last three.

http://www.theadvocates.org/quizp/index.html

I got a label of “liberal” on the quiz, but actually it was about half way between liberal and libertarian on their chart.

I wondered whose definition of liberal they used? They didn’t consult me.

Barack Obama is a liberal, and I can’t stand his politics. Couldn’t stand George Bush’s politics, either. Ralph Nader is more my speed, because he tells the truth.

Maybe they need to redesign their quiz: I feel sorely discriminated against, there was no place for me to fit in. No place for angels. No place for rednecks.

I pulled this from Wikipedia and highlighted the parts I figured would please my conservative relations … I please my liberal relations in other ways … stay tuned …

Liberalism (from the Latin liberalis)

[1] is a broad political ideology or worldview founded on the ideas of liberty and equality.[2] Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally liberals support ideas such as capitalism (either regulated or not), constitutionalism, liberal democracy, free and fair elections, human rights and the free exercise of religion.[3][4][5][6][7]

Liberalism first became a powerful force in the Age of Enlightenment, rejecting several foundational assumptions that dominated most earlier theories of government, such as nobility, established religion, absolute monarchy, and the Divine Right of Kings. The early liberal thinker John Locke, who is often credited for the creation of liberalism as a distinct philosophical tradition, employed the concept of natural rights and the social contract to argue that the rule of law should replace both Traditionalism and absolutism in government, that rulers were subject to the consent of the governed, and that private individuals had a fundamental right to life, liberty, and property.

The revolutionaries in the

American Revolution and the French Revolution used liberal philosophy to justify the armed overthrow of what they saw as tyrannical rule. The nineteenth century saw liberal governments established in nations across Europe, Latin America, and North America. Liberal ideas spread even further in the twentieth century, when liberal democracies were on the winning side in both world wars and liberalism survived major ideological challenges from fascism and communism. Today, liberal political parties remain a political force with varying degrees of power and influence on all major continents.

One way I please my liberal relations is to ask them how does one accept the Nobel Peace Prize while waging two of George W. Bush’s wars?

That’s a trick question, sort of like, “Mr. Jones, when did you stop beating your wife?” And, “Mrs. Jones, did you tell Mr. Jones you were fucking his brother?”

Liberals don’t breathe too well after hearing the second of those questions.

Come to think of it, though, I can’t recall any conservatives who breathed well either. Maybe liberals and conservatives are evolutionary dead-ends?

No, I don’t talk like that around the women who sometimes ask me to play party bridge. One of them is on my email hit list, receives everything I publish. I leave it up to her to tell the others.

Finally, Legal Schnauzer admits he published incorrect forensic evidence re shooting of Major Bashinsky

Moi, Major’s older brother

After being challenged by me, Roger Shuler, aka legalschnauzer.blogspot.com in Birmingham, Alabama, replied to my last two posts directed at him:

Shuler wrote:

Revisiting the Forensics and Possible Motives in the Death of Alabama Lawyer Major Bashinsky

Major Bashinsky death scene
I raised the following question in a recent post:
Is Sloan Bashinsky Jr. Intentionally Trying to Muddy the Water On Reporting About His Brother’s Death?

The post addressed a number of issues connected to the 2010 death of Alabama lawyer Major Bashinsky, in a case that was ruled (dubiously, in my view) a suicide. Sloan Bashinsky Jr., writing at various blogs from his base in Key West, Florida, has agreed with the official finding and taken me to task for raising questions about it.

I raised a provocative question about Sloan’s reasons for dismissing evidence that suggests Major did not kill himself, so it’s only fair to point out I that I have unintentionally muddied the water on the case myself. I came to that realization after conducting additional research on the issue of stippling in a gunshot wound. My reports on that issue, it turns out, were off target, and I regret the error.

I want to acknowledge my mistake and clear up confusion that it has caused. Also, it seems a good time to reconsider the forensic evidence and possible motives surrounding the death of Major Bashinsky. We will do that by examining several issues in the wake of some spirited back and forth between Sloan Bashinsky Jr. and yours truly:

* The Essence of Stippling–I screwed up on this one, and here is how: The medical examiner’s report says in its summary that Major Bashinsky died from a contact wound to the head. Earlier in the report, it states there was an absence of stippling, which is a pattern of abrasions around an entrance wound. Based on my reading of an article titled “Practical Pathology of Gunshot Wounds,” I reported that these two findings were contradictory, and the ME appeared to have made a mistake. But my assertion was incorrect.

Where did I go wrong? I relied too heavily on one journal article. The article I cited stated the following about stippling:

The principle indicator of close range fire is stippling, that is, a pattern of tiny, punctuate abrasions in the skin surrounding the entrance wound . . . . Stippling is caused by unburned particles of gunpowder striking the skin. In contrast to other substances that may be deposited on the skin, such as soot, stippling cannot be washed away. The presence of stippling indicates that the muzzle of the gun was within 2 feet of the victim’s body when it was discharged.

I took this to mean that the absence of stippling, as stated in the ME’s report on Major Bashinsky’s death, means the shot was fired from a distance of more than 2 feet. That is true, but there is an exception–and that is when the gun is placed against, or right next to, the skin. That is a contact wound, and my most recent research indicates stippling is not present in such instances. This is from an article titled “Forensic Pathology“:

Contact wound: Muzzle of gun was applied to skin at time of shooting. Classic features include an impression of the muzzle burned around the entrance wound and absence of fouling and stippling (see below). Contact wounds over the skull may have a stellate appearance because of expulsion of hot gases from the barrel which are trapped against the outer table of the skull and blow back toward the exterior, ripping apart the skin around the entrance wound.

The bottom line? Stippling is present on gunshot wounds of intermediate distance–from roughly 6 to 8 inches to 2 to 3 feet. It is not present on contact wounds or shots fired from greater than 2 to 3 feet.

* Forensics and Major Bashinsky–What does my goof mean in the context of the Major Bashinsky case? Not much, really. I focused on stippling because I thought it was part of a contradictory statement in the ME’s report. Turns out I was wrong about that. But it’s still correct to say that the ME’s report offers no scientific evidence to support a finding of suicide. And it’s still correct to say that manner of death in the Bashinsky case should have been classified as “undetermined,” followed by the kind of thorough police investigation that apparently never took place.

The presence or absence of stippling is relatively minor compared to these key facts that remain about the evidence in the Bashinsky case:

(1) The gun found in the golf-course water hazard, where Major Bashinsky’s body was recovered, has never been tied to him;

(2) The ME’s report offers no evidence that Major Bashinsky pulled the trigger on that gun–or any other gun that might have been used in his death;

(3) No bullet was recovered at the scene, raising major questions about the official story that Bashinsky shot himself in the pond.

All of these suggest the suicide finding is based on shaky footing.

* The Tao of Sloan–Bashinsky Jr. has become rather surly in recent posts about my reporting on his brother’s death, even referring to my blog as “muttface.blogspot,com.” Did angels provide him with that kind of clever humor? We might never know. Sloan deserves credit for being right on the stippling issue, but he continues to raise a number of points in curious ways. Let’s ponder a few of those from recent days:

(1) In a post dated July 31, 2012, Sloan’s headline refers to an “alleged murderer” in connection with my reporting on Major’s death. But I’ve never alleged that Major was murdered. In fact, it’s not my role to allege anything; as a journalist, it’s my role to find facts, analyze available information, and go where that takes me. My focus has been on weaknesses in the official finding of suicide, mainly because it provides no scientific evidence that the deceased shot himself, and we have no reports indicating he intended to kill himself–no suicide note, no reports of depression or erratic behavior, no tell-tale statements. The Major Bashinsky case obviously does not present a natural death or an accidental death, so the options are suicide or murder. But my focus has been on reporting about weaknesses in the official finding of suicide. I’ve never said that the finding should have been murder. As noted above, my research indicates the manner of death should have been classified as “undetermined.”

(2) In the July 31 post, Sloan refers to my reporting about the scene at Highland Park Golf Course water hazard and states that Major’s body was found in “the middle of the pond.” That’s curious because I’ve seen nothing in published reports that says the body was found in the middle of the pond. I’ve been on the course, and played that hole, a number of times–and it features a pretty sizable body of water. I would say “pond” is a good description because it’s bigger than your standard water hazard. My impression is that the body was found fairly close to shore, but Sloan might know something that I don’t.

(3) In both the July 31 post and another dated August 1, 2012, Sloan asks if I am going to inform my readers about information he has reported regarding his brother’s death. I’ve referred to Sloan’s writings a number of times, but I’ve never made it my aim to report everything he writes about Major’s death. For one thing, I’m not sure how much Sloan knows about the case; he lives in Key West, Florida, almost 1,000 miles from Birmingham, and it appears he and Major had been more or less estranged for several years. For another, I have no idea about the accuracy of certain items Sloan reports as fact; after all, this is a guy who says he talks to angels, so that doesn’t help his credibility as a news source. For another, Sloan does not strike me as terribly objective about the case; he seems invested in the official finding of suicide, even though it is weak (at best) or deeply flawed (at worst). Finally, folks who are interested in Sloan’s take on things can go directly to his blog–and I’ve provided the links above; there is no reason for me to repeat everything here.

* Corporate Matters Vs. Estate Matters–Both Sloan and I have reported on matters surrounding the Bashinsky family in the days and months leading up to Major’s disappearance and death. In his July 31 post, Sloan addresses a possible murder scenario and notes a letter that was attached to Major’s body at the scene. In all caps, he writes:

IS THAT HOW YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT, ROGER, IF YOU HAD WANTED TO BE SURE YOU GOT A WAY WITH IT? IS THAT HOW YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT, TO MAKE A SURE EVERYONE KNEW MAJOR WAS MURDERED? IS THAT HOW YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT, TO MAKE A POINT? TO TERRIFY PEOPLE RELATED TO MAJOR BY BLOOD OR MARRIAGE? TO PUSH THEM TO COMPLY WITH THE DEMAND IN THE TYPED THREAT LETTER IN THE BOTTLE ATTACHED BY ROPE TO MAJOR’S BODY – THAT THE COMPANY STOP PAYING OUT GOLDEN ENTERPRISE DIVIDENDS TO THE GREEDY BASHINSKYS AND GREEDY MANAGEMENT, AND KEEP THE DIVIDENDS IN THE COMPANY FOR THE HEALTH OF THE COMPANY AND ITS EMPLOYEES?

Not sure why he’s addressing this to me because “what I would have done” is beside the point. But as you can see, Sloan focuses on issues at the family business, Golden Enterprises, the maker of Golden Flake snack foods.

I, meanwhile, have focused on a lawsuit styled Estate of Sloan Y. Bashinsky Sr., et al v. W&H Investments, et al, which reached a curious settlement just two days before Major disappeared. The case involved a possible accounting of some $37 million that the family patriarch, Sloan Bashinsky Sr., had invested in oil and gas wells. Court records indicate that the estate never received much of the information it sought, and it appears the investment firm engaged in serious stonewalling.

Why? Sloan Bashinsky Jr. doesn’t seem interested in that question. I most certainly am interested, and we will return to those issues in upcoming posts.

I replied:

Darn, Roger, did it take you a long time, after some shots from me across your bow, and across your so-author Lori Moore’s bow, to figure out how bad you both had missed the boat on the gun being fired from more than 2 feet away. If you blew something in that plain view – ie. the Jefferson County Coronor’s Report, what else did you and Lori Moore blow? I put you into the shoes of the hypothetical perp you suggested at Highland golf course, hoping you would see the unlikelihood of anyone doing it in your suggested way, who hoped to get clean away. I then put you into the shoes of a hypothetical perp who really did want to make a point and get clean away, again hoping you would see how unlikely the Highland golf course scene was for a murder or body dump.

Now you have returned to the business dealings my father had with Chip Hazelrig’s oil and gas company.

As I told you before, and wrote in posts a few times, unaided by angels, Chip told me in Key West that my father had done business with his oil and gas firm for about 20 years. Chip was not complimentary of the lawyers and accountant my father’s widow and trustees were using to try to get an accounting from Chip’s company re its dealing with my father. The lawyer was the family lawyer, the executor of my father’s estate, and one of the trustees. The accountant was the family’s accountant, the company’s outside accountant, and also one of the trustees. The settlement they agreed to with Chip’s company basically covered the lawyer-trustee’s legal fee and the accountant’s fee in the litigation – several hundred thousand dollars. The estate got nothing, as the result of the litigation. The settlement was approved by the lawyer trustee, the accountant trustee, the other trustees, and my father’s widow, also a trustee – all according to what Chip told me. I told Chip that sounded like them. I knew them all well.

I also told you, and wrote in posts, that Chip told me of a meeting called by my father’s wife, Golden Flake’s CEO John Stein, also a trustee, and perhaps other trustees, to which my father, then still living, was dragged along with Chip and perhaps his partner in the oil and gas business. After my father’s wife and John Stein had worked my father and Chip over for a while, wanting details of my father’s dealings with Chip and his company, my father told them to run the potato chip company and he would run the oil and gas business. I laughed, I told Chip that was just like my father.

Chip said my father was very conservative with his personal investments and the Golden Flake profit sharing plan, but he allowed himself to pay [play] and gamble with oil and gas deals they brought to him, some of which he went along with, some of which he didn’t. Chip said my father like doing business on a handshake, and I said that was just like my father, he hated getting lawyers involved and did so only when he had to – which he had to with Golden Flake and in his estate planning and real estate deals. But he kept the lawyers out of his oil and gas investments. Chip said my father did pretty well, if you took into account royalties the good wells paid and the large tax write-offs. That also sounded just like my father, large tax write-offs always were important to him.

I also wrote how Chip and I got together that day in Key West. He called me out of the blue from Duval Street, and we agreed to meet a few minutes later at a place near where he was, which I knew would be quiet. When we met, I asked Chip how he had gotten my cell phone number? I had no other phone. He said he went into a bar on Duval Street and asked the first person he saw if he knew Sloan Bashinsky? The fellow said, yes. Chip asked if he knew how to contact me? The fellow said no, but the fellow he was with at the bar said he had my cell phone number. So that was how Chip got my cell phone number.

I also wrote that Chip told me he had come down from Birmingham with a friend, who kept a fishing boat in Ft. Lauderdale, as I recall the location of the marina. They ran the boat down to Key West, where his friend wanted to fish. His friend was a fishing fanatic, like I used to be, and wanted to be on the water all day. Chip wore out after a couple of days and took a day off to wander around Key West. He had heard I lived in Key West and decided to try to find me.This was shortly after Major went missing, before his body was found.

I wrote that Chip and I talked briefly about that, and about Major. Then, mostly we talked about Chip’s relationship with my father and the litigation, as describe above. We talked maybe an hour, said our goodbyes, and I didn’t see Chip again.

All of that I published, and you read it. From that, you wrote more than once that Chip came all the way to Key West to see me. I refuted that every time you wrote it. You intimated Chip was in on Major’s disappearance. I refuted that.

Since you keep slamming me for saying angels guide me, I will say it has occurred to me more than once that you are being guided by demonic entities.

Sloan Bashinsky

Post-script:

I sent the link to this post above to Lori Moore, the co-author of the Schnauzer article which reported it was not a contact wound, but was a gun shot from over two feet away. Lori replied:

I believe he stated that he was incorrect in regards to the stippling and noted that on his blog. He also included the references that led him to the wrong conclusion. I wouldn’t call that making something up but rather correcting his mistake publicly.

I replied:

Say what?

Shuler, and you, as co-author, made heap to do about there being no stippling, therefore the shot had to be fired from more than two feet away, even though the Coroner’s report plainly said it was a contact wound (muzzle pressed against the skin) and there was no stippling, in keeping with a contact wound.

I wrote to you about that after just after I read your and Shulter’s article, and gave you bloody hell, and you did not reply. I took you both to task in a post, and heard nothing back from either of you.

When I raised it again in a reply to yet another Shuler swipe at Major’s death not being suicide, I said Shuler made up it was not a contact wound. Shuler then published that I was wrong. When I explained in a sequel post that Shuler was wrong, he, and I suppose you, finally looked at the Coroner’s report, perhaps for the first time, and saw you were wrong, and Shuler published his lamer than lame explanation.

What do you call all of that, if not inventing? By both of you.

What do you make of an identical antique Browning .32 automatic being on display in my father’s home when Major was shot with its twin, which was found in the pond?

Why didn’t you and Shuler publish that?

And you call yourselves investigative journalists?

Sloan

Lori replied:

Not quite sure why your panties are in a wad. Either way, it doesn’t change anything. So the person who pulled the trigger obviously held the gun right up to his head.

I replied:

That was what the Coroner reported: contact wound, no stipppling (gun muzzle pressed against the side of the head when shot was fired.)

You and Shuler wrote an entire post claiming the pistol was fired from over two feet away, to prove Major could not have shot himself like the Coroner had determined Major did.

Shuler’s and your readers were left with that false information for over a year, even though I told you both you were wrong.

I read Shuler’s lame lame excuse. What’s your lame lame excuse, Lori?
